Tiny Face measures how small you can make your face.
Developed by a crack team of scientists at Consolidated Face, Tiny Face uses the front-facing camera on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to take two pictures: your normal face, and then your scrunched / squished / puckered face. It then utilizes cutting edge computer-vision algorithms to analyze your face and compute your Face Reduction Percentage™.
Until recently, a proper face reduction analysis could cost you thousands of dollars and take weeks to complete. But now Tiny Face brings the lab to you, at a fraction of the price and with no waiting!
Tiny Face also lets you share your awe-inspiring face with others, via Twitter, Facebook, and the web.
What's New in Version 1.0.1
This update is mostly bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug where the wrong button was occasionally activated.
- Added a high resolution icon for iPhone 4 retina display.
- Fixed a bug that was causing a small percentage of our users' faces to physically stick in contorted or squished configurations, which would result in severe face pain and/or ridicule by friends and coworkers.
New respect for made-for-TV sports
In an era of competitive eating and reality catfish wrangling, I had been getting a bit jaded about these so-called TV 'athletes' but one session of Tiny Face changed all that. The intense muscle strain and pain of sustained face scrunching in order to record my score has given me a new respect for these innovative sports. I can truly say that - should competitive face reduction catch on as a televised sport - I for one will be among the many enthralled viewers watching the noble suffering of the athletes.
One small face for a man.
Thanks to the miniaturization technology behind this app, faces that would once fill entire rooms can now fit on a normal human head. I think the kids today take this kind of progress for granted. If Neanderthal man had had access to this stuff, he would have been us. Loser.
The app yields no percentage results for me, so either I'm not doing something correctly ("You're holding it wrong!") or the app is not working for me or my delicate, elfin features* are optimally tiny and cannot be improved upon.** this app is easily worth one and a half times the free price. I would give it 5 stars if it could spit gold doubloons out of the screen.
Update: The app is now working and it tells me in a clipped British female voice "your face is unacceptable". Feel the love.
*Admission: they are neither delicate nor elfin.
**That'll be the day.
App works well
Downloaded this thinking it was a photo augmentation app but it's only for measurement of how tiny you can make your face, guess I should have read the description. Disappointed :-(
