IMPORTANT SERVICE CHANGE: Halo Waypoint Changes Coming on August 1, 2014
On August 1, 2014, we will be discontinuing support for the Halo Waypoint mobile apps (including the ATLAS features) on Windows Phone, iOS, and Android. It is a difficult decision to end support for any element of the Halo franchise, but doing so allows us to apply the people and resources used on those legacy items to focus on future Halo projects, including of course, Halo for Xbox One. We are grateful to those of you who found the Halo Waypoint mobile app useful - you helped make our products better!
Notice: This app is for Halo: Reach. If you’re looking for Halo 4, try the Halo 4 Stats App at http://app.halowaypoint.com.
Halo Waypoint is the official app for all things Halo: Reach on your iPhone or iPad!
Waypoint features ATLAS, the official multiplayer companion for Halo: Reach. Check out overhead views of multiplayer and firefight maps, as well as beautifully illustrated versions from Brady Games. The maps show weapon and vehicle locations, and you can get near real-time position and score information for Multiplayer games, for you and your team.
With Halo Waypoint, you have direct access to your Waypoint Career progress, all of your Halo: Reach stats, including game history, campaign progress and stats by weapons and enemies. You can stay in contact with your Halo friends on Xbox LIVE no matter where you are.
Invite your friends to compete in Halo: Reach by creating Custom Challenges, which let you pick a game type, a goal (like Kills or Headshots), a time limit and an amount. Then you can invite friends to see who can beat the goal in time.
Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing—you, access Halo at any time, through Halo Waypoint for your iPhone or iPad.

This App Has Potential.
First off, this app incorporates so many things, yet half of them aren't even utilized by anyone and simply slow the app down. Let's be honest, who wants to look at an Atlas when he or she can simply play the game the way it was meant to be played - on the TV. Make it a separate app. Also, the Waypoint section is another useless utility, considering the fact it takes about 30 seconds to a minute to load up a new page. Which, by the way, is usually a page full of statistics that we as players do not care about. The things we care about are commendations, challenges, and cR until our next level. (Commendations and Challenges represented in NUMBERS, not useless percentages, by the way.) Finally, the thing that bothers me the most, the fact that the only way I can refresh things is by signing out and signing back in. There should at least be a "Remember my login information" checkbox to save us players a little trouble.
Bungie's app was beyond perfect. That's what you should have modeled this app after. If this review is actually looked at, please try to work on some of these things previously mentioned in a near-future update. Myself and a majority of the Halo community would be both satisfied and grateful.
Missing a few key features
This app is very usefull in the information it provides. I know that Reach's time is coming to a close and Halo 4 will soon be unleashed. However, I do think that this app missing a few key features that would make it better than it is:
1. a refresh button- instead of having to exit the app, double tap home, and close the active app.
2. commendation tracker- it was on the Bungie app and on the desktop site.
3. medal tracker- something even the Bungie app could not boast.
4. the ability to search for a gamertag- not entirely necessary but it was it the Bungie app and it was a nice feature.
Considering the mobile site on Safari doesn't allow you to see this information, it'd be nice if the app did. It's not always possible to get to a computer to view the desktop site. That's mainly the purpose of the app; to provide a means of viewing Halo stats without a computer.
Even if these updates do not come in time for Reach before Halo 4 comes, the Halo 4 update of this app should include these features.
Also i think Atlas should be a separate app and anyone who already bought it should get it free because it would be able to get more attention if it wasn't crammed into this stats app.
Most Functional Halo Stats
Edit: if you're having issues try the new Xbox Smartglass app. It has a built in Halo 4 tracker. I would assume that they are making a shift from halo waypoint app to smart glass.
Pros: Easy to use UI that allows you to see your stats on the fly.
Great news feature.
Futuristic multiplayer addition with Atlas
Cons: This app does not support Retina display on iPhone or iPad.
There is no landscape support for videos featured on the Waypoint site.
Atlas is slow and clunky. It's a great concept but the technology isn't quite there.
Overall: If your looking for your gaming stats and news from 343, this FREE app is worth your time. Atlas is not worth the 5 dollar charge as it is slow and clunky and really doesn't do much more than distract you from what is on screen.
NOTE: For those of you who have lost access to Atlas after you have purchased it, purchase it again, you won't be charged a second time as it says in the description.
