What's New in Version 1.201
No narration, loud music, poor grammar
There is no option on this book to read it to the child, so an adult must read the text. You cannot turn off the loud background music, so it is hard to read the story and hear the few sound effects in the book. The animations are very basic. Must troubling, however, were the numerous grammatical mistakes throughout the book, as well as mistakes in capitalization. Also, in this version of the story, my daughter didn't understand why the giant, who never did anything bad, was killed, while Jack, who repeatedly stole things from the benign giant, was the hero who got rich by stealing and killing. Not the greatest message for little kids!
Does not read the book and not very interactive
The only nice thing about this is that the pictures are nice. Most of the interactive features involve touching the characters and the only sounds that they make are grunting noises. The book does not flow well and there is only 1 page with an interactive pull on the page. Glad I only paid 1 dollar but not impressed.
