What's New in Version 1.2
Thanks for making the launch of "Children Around the World" a success! This release includes over a dozen new images as well as several minor enhancements to the app!
Bringing Education to Life
This is a beautiful content rich engaging app. What a wonderful way for students to engage in culture around the world. It is as though they are experiencing it first hand. As they navigate the globe the images are so deeply filled with color, image information is so rich in historical and cultural facts and geographical pin point so spot on, it brings this application to life. Navigation in this app is very intuitive for our digital natives. This approach is the very way in which education must move to fully engage and motivate our students in core content.
Good pictures, but could have been user friendly
A very basic app. I was expecting to easily associate kids and their geography back and forth to ease learning among my kids, but it doesn't do that. If you are map, then pictures of kids are so small that you cannot really see their details well enough. If you are watching kids, then you cannot see their location on the map. You have to leave one interface to go to another. Basically it's a collection of geo-tagged beautiful pictures of kids around the world, but the interface doesn't facilitate learning, which could have been possible.
You would think that there were no black kids in the US. He mainly showcases white kids. He also shows black kids in other countries in a negative light (dirty, snotty noses, etc). I have been to Africa and many of the kids are dressed in western clothing, clean and educated. All I am saying is show what people are really like, not just stereotypes. Sorry I purchased this pitiful app.
