A great lists app

I've loved clear ever since it hit the App Store. I empathize with Realmac software with the recent clear+ fiasco. I never got the plus version because I didn't have an iPad. Even after I got one, clear to me is so perfect on the phone. That I didn't feel like I needed it on the iPad.

Now, if it had a few more features, I could really make Clear a "workflow" app, instead of a simple lists app...

I would like to propose a solution to the pricing issue of clear. To the developers: I will gladly throw more money your way for some additional features. However, shouldn't these features be available via an in-app purchase? This way, people can still use the app they already paid for as is, and they have the option to extend it's capabilities for a buck or two.

Ok, so my feature requests:

1. Export (sync?) lists to Evernote. Why? So I can make lists quickly in clear, then send them to EN if I need to include notes or anything else with the list. I would imagine others would want to sync with omnifocus, RTM, etc...

2. (2-part) reminders and iOS reminders integration (so we can use Siri to remind us of something) Along with this, repeating and scheduled reminders would be nice.

3. Change the additional options from a shake (which is hard to remember) to a further tug to the right (a-la mailbox— hey, they stole your gestures, steal their improvements).

Thanks for listening and making such a great app!

All Sizzle

Update: "Now with iCloud support" Translation -> Please buy our overpriced desktop app that took us months to write because we insisted on porting a mobile experience instead of thinking about a useful and usable desktop experience.

"This update….makes sure everything works smoothing on iOS 6" Translation -> This update includes nothing of any real importance. Certainly none of the features that have been hinted at for months to make this app actually useful instead of a bimbo on the corner.

Update: after months of waiting I am done with Clear. The only thing this app does better than other todo list managers is enrich lazy developers.

Months of waiting for updates to the functionality and we get new themes. I think it's obvious where the developers heads are in the clouds.

Clear is just a pretty face

Clear has amazing interaction design but there is a lot missing. RealMac must roll out new features very quickly if they want to sustain this app. Clear lacks nearly every feature of a standard todo list application: due dates, alarms, recurring items, notifications, sync,…etc. Interaction design aside every other todo list manager in the store is more capable than Clear.

My hat is off to RealMac for making an amazing experience. Now get moving on making it a useful experience.

Amazing list-making app

Clear has used a gesture-based approach to the to-do lists in an uncluttered slick design, making task management easier, faster and more fashionable.

As a task list, Clear is definitely the best app in the App Store. You can move very quickly through your tasks thanks to some quick gesture-based controls. As a universal app supporting iCloud, you can sync it with your other iOS devices and your Mac, but not Windows.

As a reminder, Clear obviously comes short. There are no dates or alarms, no location alerts, no iOS Reminders integration, no recursive reminders and no push notifications.

Clear is a powerful list-making app and is getting better with every update. Its clean design looks fantastic and offers much more functionality than other similar apps without sacrificing its simplicity. Developers are going to add task reminders too, so I will wait to see how appealing it will be to get organized and stay on task.
