What's New in Version 1.2.7
This update corrects a few issues that have been reported to us. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.
- This version fixes problems when using aerofly FS on Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion).
- Improved automatic joystick calibration.
After the second download of the sim, I had to raise my rating to Five stars.
very good value for the money.
I have no problems with the Simulator operation, graphics, or controller. It is Fun and Challenging
The best pure simulator on the App Store
Edit: 3 to 4 stars
Upon using it is a bit more I’m really enjoying. It’s a solid simulator for what it is. I just wish it was more.
At this point these items would be great:
Time with Dawn /Day / Dusk / Night Cycle
Proper Navigation and Approaches
Accounting for fuel
More areas and/or more detail in existing areas
Multiplayer - let us fly around together…that would multiply the utility, fun and playable hours of this hours by many many times!
Edit: 4 to 3 stars
The update addressed several quality issues and it feels more polished. I’m dropping from 4 to 3 stars as the developers were more interested in putting in overpriced in app purchases over implementing much needed features. Still it’s a decent app for just getting in the air and goofing around.
The best pure simulator on the app store that I've tried at least. However, that's not necessarily saying a huge amount. It's a good sim and has loads of potential. There are a few minor technical issues but the biggest issue for me is it seems unfinished and there are some quality issues as well. For example there were many references to autopilots (there is even an achievment for one) but damned if I couldn't find it.
It could be the go to sim on the app store with some work. I'll detail my issues and suggestions here with the hope that the devs will put some more work into it.
*Change the time of day
*At least rudimentary navigation ability (at least GPS Direct if nothing else)
*Unimplemented items mentioned in the app - autopilot, air brake, I'm sure there are others
Would be nice features:
*Multi-player: Multiplayer alone would make this app worthwhile as that would be fun flying with others. Especially if you could share aircraft as the developers have views for various seats - for example the Pitts has the forward and rear seats available and the Cessna has left seat, right seat and rear seats available.
*At least one of: MORE SCEANERY ***OR*** MORE DETAILED SCEANERY - I'm ok with just flying in switzerland, I can learn some geography. But if it's just going to be switzerland then more detail would be nice.
If it's developed further developed it could be worth the price. As it is it's a bit expensive but I'd rather pay for a too expensive app than follow the in app purchase bandwagon which I can't stand. Anyway, all in all it's good. If you're hurting for money it's probably not worth the expense to you and if you want a serious sim experience this will be too unfinished for you. But if you want to putt around the air for a bit without much hastle and you won't miss $45 then it's decent.
Common it wont download
