- Fixed icon gloss on iOS 6
- Bug fixes
Review it for what it is not what it isn't.
The fact that this app has a current star rating of 2 out of 5 is a bit ridiculous. So many people are upset about what this app isn't. Yes, it does need an update. Yes, maybe the devs don't respond to people asking about the update. But, as a fellow iOS developer, a quality app takes time and a lot of energy. I do agree that the des should respond to whether or not they're going to update the ipad version but I think reviewing an app based on features that it doesn't have, is doing this amazing app a disservice for no reason. You are essentially doing it because you want a new us and some more cool features. This app is single handled the best twitter client. Everybody knows it and they keep coming back because it's the truth. They deal with the dated UI because this app has so many great features. It's extremely stable, it's literally never crashed for me. I have it on multiple devices, even the mac . So, to set the record, this is the best twitter app on the App Store. For me, it does everything ands still looks and works great. Disregard the negative reviews and download it to see Thor yourself. Trust me, it won't disappoint you.
Hands down, best Twitter client EVER!
I used to use Echofon until I discovered Tweetbot. Was impressed within minutes of initial use. Totally customizable and extremely user friendly. Love the ability to mute keywords. Creating/managing lists are a breeze. App has NEVER crashed on me. Love the ability to click an image and get a fast load. Streaming via Wi-Fi is my absolute favorite feature. This one app gets a good 80-90% of my daily iPad/iPhone use. Excellent medium for following US, world and tech news. Text size can be adjusted to preference. Customer support is top-notch! Totally worth every penny spent on this app. Also own the Mac version. Kudos to Paul for his ongoing dedication in maintaining the app. Can't think of ANYTHING that disappoints me with this app. It occupies iPad/iPhone home screen and is in my Mac dock.
Thanks for your commitment and dedication in supporting these Tweetbot apps. Your hard word does not go unnoticed!
Major bug remains unfixed
In all the complaints about how the update has not appeared yet, nobody has mentioned the horrible bug that affects this version, that if they fixed, I would keep using it and only very quietly grumble about the ugly outdated interface.
When you type a word with an apostrophe in it—like "don't" or "it's"—but don't actually type the apostrophe (since it will be autocorrected properly), then hit the spacebar to start typing the next word, most of the time it will make the space. Any word you type after that will be attached to your previous word, and frequently autocorrected in a surprising and unpredictable way. This leads to really strange tweets sometimes, or makes you have to check closely instead of just typing. I spend extra time composing a tweet or editing before posting because of this bug.
I don't care if a major update ever happens (I want the update, but don't need it), but this bug makes Tweetbot almost unusable. Please, please, just fix this one thing now!
