Good concept, needs improvement
Doesn't have some books that it should. Would be nice to have an area to input books that are missing from their database so this could be the one place I come to to track what I own or want to buy and what I've read or want to read. Get an error every time I try to mark something "read" but when I go back in, it is categorized correctly. Also, if I try to contact support, it opens an email when I click Send but the email doesn't have an address.
Love the simplicity !!
Love the app, both PC & iPhone versions. No obvious search button to tap was a bit frustrating at first, until I tapped the "Return" key. I love the series button when you pull up a book. Also allows me to organize my book lists in a way that makes sense to me. Just wish non-fiction books were in the database. Be nice to have ability to export my books in multiple formats. All in all I highly recommend the app.
I have used the fictiondb site for several years for logging all the books that I have read. It worked really well for me and I like it. So I decided to get the app on my new iPhone. When first installed the app will not allow me to use my already established account and instead I would have to register for a whole new account. I I would then have to reenter all of the information on all of the books that I have read, and that's a lot of books. If I can't use my previously established account it's just not worth it.
