The app won't even let me sign up. I can use the demo mode and that's it.
Small business owner
You will find that just downloading the app will not allow processing of transactions. You will need an access code to link the app to your BOA merchant services account. Here's the fun part! If you are an existing BOA merchant services account holder, you'll need to contact your area sales representative. From my experiences (yes, plural), good luck with that! Once I was able to make enough of a stink at the local branch, I was contacted by a manager who "talked the talk" but couldn't "walk the walk". He had the area sales rep (which is an never ending revolving door of different people) contact me. The rep was very upbeat and excited to know that I was interested on "setting up a merchant services account with BOA". However, I am an existing BOA merchant services customer and didn't request or need a new account set up. I only needed the mobile account access code to link my account with this mobile app. When the sales rep realized that I wasn't in need of account set up and only needed access, her reply was "Oh, you are currently under contract with us, so I really can't assist you." Really? The folks at BOA are extremely friendly, they all smile, and are are all polite. However I have yet to have one employee or manager give me any more than lip service regarding working with be in setting up my mobile device to work with their mobile app. My merchant services account contract expires in a couple of months. I guess they'll miss me when I'm gone! Again, nice folks, but complete uninterested in providing any level of service, as evidenced by their actions, or lack there of. It has been a frustrating challenge and one I'll keenly remember when my contract expires. BOA should be embarrassed.
