Thank you for the free tools!

I really like this sketching/drawing/painting/just plain artistic app. It is great now to be able to use all the tools for free now. It makes it more fun, and now I can make things that look better. Now all I need is a stylus to feel like I am really painting/drawing/ etc.
I understand that some people are upset because they paid for the tools in the past, and now they are free. Come on people, you agreed to pay for these tools, no one forced you to pay for them. And you got to use them longer. So what if 53 decided that they had made back enough money to pay for app development and upkeep to decide to offer these tools to others now for free. It reminds me of an illustration that Jesus used that's recorded in the Bible at Matthew 20:1-16. Just because the agreement with later parties is different than your agreement doesn't mean that your agreement is unfair. You agreed to it.

Best sketch app I've used so far. The undo gesture is useless though.

This is a good sketch app. Very fluid with good response even to a finger. It does a good job balancing enough options, without overwhelming the overall aesthetic. It's not trying to be an Adobe Illustrator replacement, for example. That would be Almost impossible to get right on iPads.

I do enjoy that the add on brushes are now free. However, I hope they don't pull an Adobe stunt and force you to sign up for their online social network Mix thing. That would be lame. The world does not need yet another data-mining forced social network thing. As for now, they've refrained. Probably trying to boost user base for an upcoming buy out. That's all I can figure.

My only complaint with the app design is the "undo" function. They call it rewind but whatever. My gripe is that it is gesture based. Why? That just makes it awkward to use and I end up marking up the page. It doesn't add to the experience.

The greed of people never ceases to amaze

I'm giving this app a 5-star rating to counter the jerks that are giving it 1 star because of the free tools. Some people have posted that they've been using this app for years now and are upset that all the tools are now free. Not only that but now they want special tools as a thank you or worse a free stylus (which they couldn't do anyway because the App Store doesn't let them know who paid for the tools)? Are you flipping kidding me? You had *years* worth of productivity out of a small in-app purchase and now you're mad that the company is doing well enough to give the app away for free?!? What is wrong with you and where did you ever get such a sense of entitlement? it never ceases to amaze me how mental people get over App Store pricing. Get a grip folks.
