Nice timer app

I’ve just started using it. I like it a lot and I think it may become my goto timer app. I agree with all the good things said about simplicity, ease of use, etc. and I bought the ultimate bundle of glyphs and sounds.
There are two improvements I’d like to see.
1) When a timer goes off a message appears saying “You’re 30 minutes timer has ended.” What’s the point of having all kinds of fun glyphs for labels, or the option of a text label, if the message doesn’t use them? Yesterday I had timers going for three different things – meds, laundry, picking up a friend. When the timer went off, how did I know which one it was? If I could remember which one I set 30 minutes ago, I probably wouldn’t need the timer in the first place!
2) More everyday and household glyphs: books, dishes in the sink, laundry, cooking-related glyphs, something a little spicier than a valentine heart (but still able to pass parental controls) for a hot appointment…, a chair, a bed, a tableset for a meal, someone going for a walk (not all of us are runners), you get the idea.

Great timer, responsive developer... but 49MB for a timer?

I'm updating my earlier review because the developer has apologized and will be removing the obnoxious advertisement.

This is a handy timer app, useful for keeping track of laundry (what's in the wash, what's drying, do I need to check on something partway through the cycle, etc.), cooking (oven timer(s), how long was the pasta supposed to boil, rice, etc.) and much, much more.

Two remaining gripes:

the app is 49MB — for a timer! I guess all the in-app purchase options (and there are many) come as part of the initial download, whether you want them or not.

the glyph icons (an optional purchase) are a great idea for labeling your timers. Unfortunately, they're the exact same icons present in LaunchCenter Pro—a problem because only a third of them (at most) are useful for what people might want to set timers for. I'm sure they're not a huge amount of the 49MB file size, and choice is good, but perhaps the developer could add more glyphs that might be appropriate for activities the average person might want to set a timer for? [a washing machine and a dryer would be great - for now I'm just using the shirt icon for both]. Thanks.

Good App

This is the best timer idea, very very well thought out. My one gripe, there shouldn't be a splash screen on load, it should go straight into the timer buttons. I know that the splash screen is for loading purposes but I truly believe this app should be capable to load faster, without a splash screen, right onto the timers without delays, particularly on iPhone 5. On iPhone 4 it is horribly slow to load.

Here's one good idea, a freebie idea: I'm sure almost anyone usually sets the same timer most of the time. For those of us who do, in my case, 20 minutes, how about an option to have it start upon launch? Less taps. A single tap, literally: open the app, that's it.

Why two stars? Because, rightfully so, the app does very little and I don't want that to change. However, I feel that what I mentioned above are very important things on a time-sensitive app, literally. Load time needs to go down, and that auto-start timer should be there!

Thanks for all your great apps!!

OLD REVIEWS:
Title: Slow Launch
Stars: 1
Even on iPhone 5, this app launches slowly. It shouldn't, isn't this supposed to be a very simple, light-weight app?
