Greetings from Red Bull
This app is terrible. The graphics aren't nearly what's supported. They pixelated, like playing a game on a 32-bit system. The sounds are 1.5 second clips that loop and sound ridiculous. My "F1 car" sounds like a beat-up dirt bike. The physics engine of the game is atrocious. You speed up on asphalt and grass at the same rate. The grass doesn't slow you down, why should it? It's realistic to accelerate from 50 kmh to 300 kmh in 4 seconds on grass. The brakes are way too "efficient", and accidentally tapping it will bring the car down to 80 kmh from 300. If you hit a wall, you bounce perpendicular to it. If you hit another car, you don't knock it off the rode, you turn 180° and start driving backwards. The camera angle is bad -- you can only see what's 10m in front of you -- forget making a turn. The handling of the cars is too perfect. With that class of car, you don't just take turns at 300 kph, or you'll be hitting a wall or fish tailing heavily. The app doesn't have support for portrait orientation on the iPhone, so users have to deal with wires if they have headphones or are charging their device. Finally, a bug in the game. I don't know what poor programmer used the loop and/or switch/case, but upon hitting certain walls, the app freezes for 4-5 seconds, and then restarts the race.
This isn't worth the hard drive space.
This isn't worth the bandwidth.
This isn't worth wasting your time over.
Not so good
From the screenshots I was surprised they actually had full versions of real circuits although the scales of the tracks and cars are completely off idk if they were going for a sim and just got lazy but this does not represent red bull at all. No locked camera makes it hard to get whereabouts and every turn seems to lead to somewhat of a straight, so no flowing turns. I feel they should not quit at a fun f1 sim they have a good enough base but they really need to reevaluate their standards. And for replay ability I was only interested for a minute or two. I hope they improve their ideas in the future and the best of luck to your creations!
This game is not bad at all. There isn't anything wrong with the steering and there isn't anything wrong with the way it plays.
The game is free people. If you want something "better" I suggest you waste money on something that will really disappoint you.
