Fun to use during games
I go to our local AA Affiliate team quite a bit and like to keep score. But even if I didn’t, sometimes strange things happen in the game and I want to know what the ruling was. So I fire up the app and use the Gameday feature, which is the pitch-by-pitch account of the game. It is nice that it is usually less than a minute behind live action.
My previous review ranted about not being able to see plays but I've actually figured it out. Game day shows pitch by pitch and the most recent plays and Summary shows all the game's plays. I do wish the Plays summary had the arrow to pull down the pitch by pitch like on the Gameday screen, but no big deal. There also a weird bug when there a substitution. The text appears on top of itself until the next play is shown. And when you switch between Gameday and Summary, you always have to scroll down to the bottom to be back where you were. Tricky tack things.I've upgraded my review.
Better Production and iPad Version Needed
The variations in production quality for the different teams/ballparks needs to be fixed. MiLB should require improved production quality and impose minimum production standards when they ask people to pay a subscription. Some parks have fixed cameras with horrible game coverage, while other parks have multiple camera angles and useful graphics. In the age of HD, the quality of the telecasts is lacking.
Last year's version let you see the game box and stats over the screen and switch between games in video mode. There was a pull down that let you see which bases were occupied and bat count. Why was this taken away?
I'm baffled that there is no iPad version for this app. Please add to Apple TV.
I love watching the games on the app, so please put some more effort into it.
I love this app.
Love all of the detail in the app.
If there was anything I'd add it would be the ability to "follow" certain players and get a summary of their day's statistics. I like to follow various players across leagues/teams and right now I'd have to dig through each team to find what I want, whereas if I could follow the player it wouldn't matter the team it would be in one place for me.
