Use to be good

Update may 2016-quality of tracking has not improved. Even with the app running in background it will frequently not register any movement (yes the Apple health app shows movement). Battery usage has improved. You would think after using the approve several years it would "learn" that when I am within 75 of my apartment I am probably home and know to use that identifier.

Update October 2015-the quality of tracking continues to go downhill. Very often it has me staying in the same location for extended period of time even though the map shows my route. I've noticed really bad battery life with upgrade to ios9. It APPEARS to be related to Moves but not certain yet.

Update-the quality of the tracking data continues to go downhill. It will frequently have me a block from where I am. The number of steps/distance is growing more inaccurate also. Not sure how is it getting worse. This is an area that should easily improve with more data.

The quality of the tracking data has really gone downhill in the last couple of months. It really should learn that if you frequently go to one area, you are going to the same exact address or business.

I have the biggest problem with the recent privacy changes. They have opened the door to a full exchange of data with FaceBook. Fortunately I use FB so little I am not too concerned with them knowing where I am, but the amount of data sharing is scarey and not appropriate.

Inaccurate location data, but it does exactly what I wanted

I only started using it in the past month. The recent battery drain feels solved with this update

I noticed though the location data is pretty horrible. I'm correcting locations daily as it constantly mislocates me using some mysterious dataset that bears zero relationship to the pins on the map. Stupid. If there was a tool to let me correct the coordinates in the reference dataset it assigns to my destinations, I'd do it! It would be nice if correcting location could also access my phone contact addresses.

My favorite feature is being able to access my routes through the ecosystem of partners! I find it pretty cool to see all the routes I travel around town through Move-O-Scope.

My Favorite!

I've been using MOVES for probably about two years, and I love it! It's useful in so many ways: professionally, to have proof of how and where you spent your time; great as an instant travel diary to remember the sequence of events as you travel; and of course, a handy way to track your physical activity during the day. One nice addition would be to have icons to represent peoples' homes that you visit. Great app!
