Has the MAD Magazine App been abandoned?

UPADE: Apple, you need to PULL THE PLUG on this app or give a stern talking to its developers! It's hasn't been updated in TWO YEARS and it's performance is degrading to the point of near-uselessness. We need to be told why such a high-profile publication as MAD MAGAZINE is allowing its customers to invest so much money in digital back issues that they can't even enjoy.
I've given it two months to prove me wrong, but I'm sure now that no one is managing this app anymore. I was looking forward to collecting digital copies of all the issues I collected over the years. They were almost up to date finally so I could get the ones from the end of the '70s, but suddenly it's stopped. I cannot find any news online about this with any assurances that anything is being revamped or updated. If the app is in fact DEAD then we should be informed. Although I'll be furious if all the money I sank into back issues is up in smoke. Does anyone have any information about this?? Why would they just up and walk away from this?
Sorry. I never wanted to be "Angry 1-star Review Guy" but I can't deny my dissatisfaction and frustration.

Grew up with Mad Magazine. We all did. And not having to lug around issues by accessing them within an app in this day and age seemed like it was too good to be true. It is. This app is worthless. It locks onto just a portion of the page now. You don't know how to navigate around the flawed display (there's no accessible menu button anywhere; you actually have to HOLD YOUR FINGER DOWN at the center of the screen for a long while—what?), but DC Comics doesn't seem to care. At all. Reviews written about a year ago prove this to be true. That's sad and disrespectful to new readers and longtime fans alike. Don't waste a dime here on a once cherished goldmine of art and satire from the Usual Gang of Idiots. You're better off sticking to the chopped trees and ink version.

WAS considering a subscription

Like I said, I WAS considering a subscription thinking "these reviews must be exaggarating". But wow. They are not. While I am not experiencing the crashing... This is a BAD app for navigating the magazine. How do I flip through pages quickly? How do I get back to the main screen to subscribe to the magazine after opening a magazine? These should NOT be head scratchers. Anyway, this is currently a really, really, REALLY undeveloped and almost childish app. Did a few high schoolers develop this? It really is terrible and will seriously cause nostalgic people such as myself to reconsider subscribing.
