What's New in Version 3.9.8
My fellow Americans.
Four score and eight hours ago, we embarked on a uniquely American adventure. Together, we began a journey that would take us deep in to the far reaches of the most distant App Store CDNs in order to safely deliver the tireless work and the beautiful delusions of our engineering team to you, the American people.
I know that when you sit down at the dinner table and order from your Postmates app, you want your food to get to your table. So when your order goes to your friend's Bob's house because you had an old address selected, that's a bummer. No more. I'm proud to announce today that we are now showing you your delivery address and phone number every step of the way - from checkout to tracking. Never again will you or your neighbor Bob be surprised by another Postmates delivery going to the wrong address.
We're not stopping there. When you add a new delivery address, we're also going to make sure you have a valid phone number. If one of our hard working Postmates citizens has trouble reaching your door, we'll make sure they can get in touch with you to make sure your meal gets to you safely.
And finally, it's time to recognize that we all make mistakes. Yes, even you, the best of our customers. You may have the wrong delivery address entered and not even know about it. I promise to you tonight, my fellow Postmates customer, that when this happens again, our tireless internal support team can send you a link that takes you directly to a screen where you can change your delivery address. Not because it's easy, but because it's the right thing to do.
Thank you all. God bless you, and God bless your moment of zen, good for 1 free delivery for the first 100 customers: PRESIDENTIALAF
Great app work smoothly. What a pleasure not to have to rely on fast food only.
Better than UberEats
Like this better mainly becuase they have way more options of food places when comparing to other food delivering apps
Postmates has lost a loyal customer today.
I have ordered through Postmates over a dozen times and have introduced several people to the app with my shares on social media. I used to rave about Postmates, telling everyone that even though Uber Eats has a more user-friendly interface Postmates is the way to go because they offer great deals and I love that you tip on the app instead of cash. In all the times I have ordered I have only had a few issues with my order. Each time customer service was helpful, but with each incident the customer service became gradually worse. The first time I commented that the ranch dressing was missing. I wasn't even looking for anything. They refunded my whole meal. Cool! Another time, my order never came. After waiting 1.5hrs the postmate texted me that she wouldn't be coming. That's incredibly inconvenient to wait that long before knowing to come up with plan b for dinner. CS decided to give me $3 credit toward fees for next time. That's nice and all, but fees are rarely ever less than $3.99 so I think a free delivery or service charge would have been more appropriate. But I continued to use them, I'm sure they couldn't survive if they just kept giving away free deliveries. Well, today was the last straw. My meal arrived incomplete. A side was missing - the side that I was craving and was the whole reason I ordered, but that's beside the point - and another side was incorrectly portioned. In other words, when I paid for an entree + 4 sides I received an entree + 2.5 sides. In other words, I did not get what I PAID FOR. Customer service responded in a timely manner with a luke-warm apology. No credit, no partial refund, nothing. Yet, I still tipped the driver 20% because I thought that maybe it wasn't her fault it was incomplete. But if it's not her fault, not postmates, who is responsible? I'm really disappointed. Postmates lost a loyal customer today.
