What's New in Version 3.8.8

In this week's edition of #FreePJ:

So as you definitely will not know (because nobody reads these release notes) a few weeks ago we found a handsome man named P.J who had been kicked to the curb. With no memories. Shivering. Cold. Hungry. Eyes wild with desire to write great release notes.

Now P.J's "friends" want him back. Curb-kicker's remorse, I say.

We won't stop you, P.J. Fly free and soar. Spread your wings and flap them all the way back to Austin (i.e. Texan San Francisco). Fly back to your marketing team and their new requirement to publicly miss you. Bask in the glory of your company mandated love.

Because we just want you to be happy. As people always said to me in high school: "If you love something, let it go. If it doesn’t come back, then it was never meant to be."

P.S. Don't forget to write!

Anyway! Let's get riiiight - in to the news! We did two big things this week and 100 small things:

1. New Settings! Brand spanking new pixels. Fresh. Clean. Beautiful. And because we heard you like free delivery codes, we put adding codes and sending your friends your referral codes up at the very top of your settings, where you can see them. You're welcome!

2. When you logout (which you know can actually happen, once in a while, when your friend came over to your apartment and wants to borrow your Postmates account because your phone died when you dropped it in the shower while reading these release notes), we no longer show you a black screen, because that's ugly and we love your friends too.

Shoutout to @Cholo_Jorge_ for the Twitter love this week. Now here it is, your moment of zen, good for 1 free delivery for the first 100 customers: #WITHHER

Customer Reviews

Expensive and they cancel your order out of nowhere

I haven't been using Postmates that much because based on previous experiences they would either charge you twice the amount of your delivery or they would leave out 3 of your orders saying they were not available even if you have confirmed with the restaurant that they have it. Today was the last draw, after 30 minutes of waiting for our delivery it was cancelled out of nowhere. Their app would say restaurant was closed or busy but when we physically went to the restaurant there wasn't even any wait! We just wasted 30 minutes waiting for nothing!!!

Hungry and frustrated

This is the last straw with these guys. I've been having terrible service with them lately and tonight was aggravating. After placing an order my delivery time kept changing until about 90 min past the time I placed it, I reached out to customer support who then decided they had to cancel my order and then just give me a $5 credit. Are you kidding me? They lack the decency to even just send me my order or to go above and beyond to serve their customer even with ridiculous delivery fees. I'm finally deleting this app and urge you all to not give them business and to save the frustration.

Your Release Notes

Hi Postmates, I read your release notes, I don't read apps release notes often but I did this time and I'm glad I did, do you read customer reviews? If you do then know that your notes were funny and I enjoyed it. Keep up the good work! 😄
