NOW SUPPORTS 7 NEW EMAIL ACCOUNTS!
Lost Photos discovers all the photos you’ve ever sent or received stored in your email account (see list below to make sure it works with your email account). Explore and easily share them to Facebook, Twitter, iPhoto, and email. We bet you’ve got a ton of amazing stuff in there!
Lost Photos is now free to try! Install now to get the first 100 photos from your email and then upgrade if you want to get all your photos.
In the past, you would lose old photos in attics and closets-- now we’re losing them in a modern equivalent, our email. If you think about it, the photos that you’ve emailed to friends and family are often the ones you care the most out. You probably have years of emailed photos - to you or from you - lost deep in your email inbox and archives. Have hope! Lost Photos will find them.
Just imagine the pictures you haven’t seen in years-- photos with friends and family that you don’t even remember existed, from places you’ve lived, places you’ve visited, and moments you’ve captured. With Lost Photos, you’ll find them again and be able to quickly share them in a more permanent place.
Lost Photos will find your lost treasure!
All photos are downloaded to your hard drive and easy to transfer to a storage device and view in your favorite photo viewing program.
Please note: Lost Photos is compatible with accounts ending in gmail.com, yahoo.com (or yahoo.ca, yahoo.co.uk and other country-specific domain extensions), me.com, mac.com, aol.com, att.net, cox.net, charter.net, btinternet.com, xtra.co.nz, ymail.com, rocketmail.com, and any account routed through Google Apps.

So Far, So Excellent!
EXACTLY what I have been wanting! So happy to have MacLife put this in their list of “This Weekend’s Best iOS App Deals, March 8.” I would give this a 5-Star but I don’t know how the “resume” is going to work tomorrow. This wonderful little app has already extracted nearly 3700 photos and saved them to Pictures>LOST PHOTOS>Photos file…automatically. YES! I’ve found photos that are beautiful, reminiscent, funny, poignant, crappy, what?, etc. I keep what I want but more importantly I can now delete the emails that I’ve saved simply because of the photos I had ‘meant’ to save but didn’t ‘get around to’. Thank you Space Inch for this simplistic but ‘works-for-me’ program. (And thanks again MacLife for bringing it to my attention.)
Surprisingly Effective; Great, Simple, Amazing!
It couldn't be simpler. Pop your email and password in, and this app goes to work assembling all images in your inbox.
At first glance, I snickered and said, "Sure, I've got some pics in there that have been festering a few years, but nothing I don't remember or have backed up." Boy was I pleasantly wrong. Especially for those of us with 10+ year old accounts, there's some real gems you may have missed in your history. This app will hop through your past and bring back some fun (and maybe even some embarassing!) moments.
Absolutely worth it, wonderfully smooth, 100% effective.
Helpful App, but for some reason made me re-purchase again which was annoying!
It would not re-authorize itself and I’ve never gotten response from their technical support, so I wasted another 2.99. It is useful so I decided to pay but ultimately I should not have had to. (I did not HAVE to pay then but I needed to scour my photos) Don’t expect a response from their support team either if you do have a problem.
I rated it pretty well BECAUSE the app does what it says and does it very well, without any drama. It is low enough cost that even with the problems it helped me find some things I had long missed. :)
