I have downloaded the consol and controller to give it a go with LOE3, but I am feeling skeptical as I have an iPhone 5 and it appears as no love has been diferted into accomodating the larger screen size. This is rather a huge procrastination if you think about it. This is not about wanting a little mroe screen real estate for xyz game, but making your prodcut work...Getting the controls correct the first time on a game can make or break its success and if the lack of updated iphone support truly affects thelayout of the buttons and the ability to correctly play a game like LOE3 with tight controls and near perfect timing of jumps and punches, then I just went from thumbs up to thumbs down about using it.
Good idea but...
This app would be really good if it had a few things that it unfortunately doesn't have. First is iPhone 5 support. How hard would it be to add that? It's not very easy to use the controls when they don't even reach all the way to the end of the screen. Also the controls are hard to use and very confusing. The app would be so much better if the controls were easy to use. Another thing is, it's vet hard to connect to the game. I had to download the app on my phone and ipad just so I could use it on my phone to control my ipad. This app looks like it could be great but it just needs some work.
NoiPhone 5 support, needs more supported games.
No iPhone 5 support is really a fun killer here. Also you guys should be working on getting more developers to integrate these controls in their games. This idea has so much potential and the feel of the phone paired with the console is really great. Please make it easier and/or cheaper for Indy game devs to incorporate this useful technology. It would also be nice to see accelerometer/gyroscopic/magnetometer type controls for games like final freeway and such. The iPhone can do everything and more than a Wii remote and you guys should work on taking advantage of everything you can.
