What's New in Version 1.1
Triggers is now a universal app that includes a retina iPad interface.
Interesting idea, but very limited
I came across this app looking for an iPhone app that will trigger sounds based on accelerometer values. Unfortunately, the "speaker" output doesn't play, say, ringtones or alert sounds installed on the iPhone, but rather just a simple beeping sound. Also, I couldn't get the proximity sensor to trigger any output. It would black the screen, but not play sounds or light up the flash LED. With some more output options, and maybe the ability to do branching logic, or at least trigger based on multiple conditions, this could be interesting, but right now it strikes me as little more than a proof-of-concept.
Cannot change the sound effects
This could have been just the app I was looking for. Would have loved to have been able to customize the sound effects or trigger a song. No chance.
Also found the accuracy of the speed triggers to be very poor. Would chuck it on my scooter whirl around the office expecting it to sound off, but no. It only to went off once I stopped?! Waste of $2.99.
