This is (for the most part) an adventure game; if you are looking for a hog/hos this is probably not for you.
In an adventure game you have to look, touch, smell :) everything, and think carefully, this is that kind of game.
Many people have complained about the length, I'm about three hours into it and don't think I'm nearing the end yet, but I have not used the skip or hint button very much.
There are several puzzles, not too tough.
There is a skip, and a hint button; the hint button works outside of the hos scene as well.
You cannot zoom in on the screen when looking for an object.
Skip button takes about two minutes to charge, hint button 40 seconds or so.
There are degrees of difficulty as well (like footsteps showing you where to walk), I think you can chose your degree of difficulty too (I've forgotten, but it seems familiar).
Great graphics, haven't played with sound so cannot comment on that.
Inventory objects have titles, so you know what you have.
I've had no technical problems with the game, am running it on an I-Pad Retina.
Excellent and fun game!
The puzzles are just the right amount of difficulty. I want to relax when I am playing a game!
The hidden object ones are not too difficult either, and the game is relaxing and fun. You can choose to have hints or not.
The only minor gripe I have is I wish the main characters did not argue in their banter with each other. Since they are on the same side, and since I play games for relaxation, I do not want characters to argue in my games.
Also, there was a puzzle I was forced to skip because one of the pieces of paper was missing. No biggie but it kept me from unlocking an achievement in the Game Center.
Overall, a very enjoyable game!
This game will be familiar if you have played other G5 games. Engaging, beautiful graphics, though sometimes a bit dark making finding some objects more difficult (good or bad depending on your patience). Interesting story line and puzzles, and selectable degree of difficulty hint levels. Objects integrate well into the storyline. All good.
Minor negatives are that the game is a bit short, and object manipulation is sometimes not as clear as it might be.
But 5 stars overall. Well done!
