Description

** 7/30/2012 ** If you run Mountain Lion on an older mac model, please be sure to switch the Ripcorder video quality from "High" to "Medium" or "720p HD". This should fix the issue where recording doesn't get saved.

Ripcorder Video lets you create movies from your mac’s on-screen activities. Ripcorder Video will capture whatever is played on your mac’s display into a QuickTime movie. You can use Ripcorder Video to, for instance, create demo movies of mac’s screen activities, or capture online video streaming during playback.

The app is also light-weight and unobtrusive, so you can leave it recording at the background while running other tasks on the mac.

FEATURES:

* Quick access from mac’s status icons.
* Capture full screen or select an area on screen to capture.
* Multi-display support.
* Capture whatever is played by your mac, regardless of the video/stream format.
* Capture audio in stereo (either from microphone or system audio output).
* Selectable movie quality from VGA to HD.
* Option to highlight mouse clicking.
* Direct playback from the app.
* Export the capture movie to playback or edit by other apps.
* Add written notes to captured movies.
* Unobtrusive and light-weight, designed to do background recording.

Please contact us at support@ripcorder.com if you have any questions.

Customer Reviews

Good For videos that are difficult to capture

The quality of the videos is pretty good, the .mov tag is a little annoying, also sometimes when recording there it can skip some of the video (like when you play a CD with a scratch), it would be nice if you could record the video in the background but when the video is recording you pretty much can do nothing on the computer, so while recording the video you must leave the computer idle which does get annoying.

Overall pretty good, worth the money as I've found no other program that does it for less.

It's ok but...

This is a really great app for someone who wants to start commentating, the problem is that is some of the recent versions, the recorder will record the screen and a mic, but won't record system audio all at the same time (even though it says it is) I also used another program called ripcorder audio, which I had the same issue with, It would only record my mic, even if I had it on system audio. All in all, it's a good program, but have a few bugs that make it almost useless...

Dont buy

this says it can record audio produced by your mac. Thats not true, it makes you download another app to do that which costs more money! this app is a scam
