Glad I Discovered Swork-It!
I love the app! I love the fact that I have workouts on the go I can do them anywhere want! It's nice because my job requires me to plan for people all day long so having an app to tell me what to do instead of me planning another thing for myself is a bonus. I've been using this app for couple weeks now and I already feel stronger that if I went to a gym and and my own work out. I love how randomizes everything because it keeps me on my toes!
The only suggestions I have are: 1) When I use the app and play music at the same time on my phone, the app glitches every time. When the app finds its spot again my music shuts off. 2) While I do love the randomization of the workouts, some new moves would be nice every once in a while. I'm curious if the app updates if new moves will be added automatically. 3) Finally, if moves require a switch halfway through it would be nice if somewhere on the screen it says that there is one. After I do the workouts for a while I kind a have a feel for what ones require a switch but it would be nice if it says "hold for one side then switch" or something like that.
GREAT workout app
The free and pro ($1.99) versions are well worth the money. It's got a great variety of exercises for all fitness levels and you can make custom workouts. I love the versatility of making a workout routine or just throwing a bunch of exercises into a list and hitting 'random'
-easy access "randomize" button to switch between regimens and free workouts
-fun voices? I hate to compare but I loved the 'drill instructor' voice from another app. It just feels more fun and interactive.
-faster access to custom workouts and starting them. Right now it takes 4 button taps just to get started on a custom workout
-better timing functions. As of now the workouts can end abruptly in the middle of an exercise. I think it should let the last rep finish, at least.
-automated cool down stretch option that plays instantly after a workout.
-martial arts training section? Some of the moves hint at this already but I think it would be cool to see an entire kenpo workout
Versitile, Clean, Exactly what a workout app should be!
The pro version has fantastic variety and every exercise is both cleanly animated and clearly pronounced. I appreciate that it interacts with the new Health Kit Apple widget, so calories burned here get automatically counted in my daily food & energy budget. I read in USAA magazine where the app developer is a soldier who taught himself coding, and was advised to build an app on what he knows. The Army knows how to work out! Well priced, without annoying upgrade offers or additional costs. I don't write reviews often, but this app is a home run!
