Good competitive app to have, fun game. Has some problems when connection is lost like people still getting a shot off when time runs out, or connection is slow causes you to lose your turn.
My biggest problem is the scratch offs and the spin wheel. You almost NEVER win anything good. It's always a couple hundred coins. I've had the app for a little over a year and think I hit ONE good jackpot on the spin wheel. As for the scratch off, one time I had like 10 of them I hadn't used, so I decided one day to use them to get some coins, on 7 of the cards it said better luck next time. Those are scratch offs I've earned, and they still didn't reward me with any coins. There is always promos for us to buy coins with my Apple Pay but they never take care of you with a couple thousand coins from time to time.
Last thing is when I buy the legendary boxes with the virtual currency I've earned, on the different occasions I unlocked a pool stick I already had. That's just a waste of a box. That's why I use my virtual money to buy those boxes to unlock a new que, not to get one I already have. Pointless to be honest.
Fix that and you got a 5 in my book
This app was recommended to me by one of my close friends. He urged me to play it, ensuring that I'd have tons of fun through extensive gameplay, and he was right. The game is smooth, and it makes me feel as if I can play pool in real life (I can't). What my friend failed to mention to me in his description of the game however, is how mind bogglingly frustrating it can be at times. There are a lot of "cheap" pockets and glitches in the game. Also, there isn't much matchmaking. You can quite easily be paired with someone who has won substantially more games and has better cues. It makes matches with these type of people very difficult and punishingly enough, if you manage to win against them, your reward will be the same as if you won against any other opponent. Also there is a freemium feel associated with the game. All of the good cues have to be bought with in game cash, which can be bought with real money. That is the quickest way to become good in the game, and it feels cheap to players who want to become good the old fashion way. Through all the flaws however, I can't deny the fact that I am have a great deal of fun playing the game. I would highly recommend checking it out.
Addicting And Frustrating
I spend too much time playing. It is frustrating because it seems that too many times that there are glitches that render you a loss. Like when you hit one ball, pot that ball, and it gives your turn to your opponent saying you need to hit a striped ball. Glitches like these and other seem to fade away for a bit as long as you are making purchases to play.
Why is it addicting? If you really love playing pool it is as close to the real thing as possible. However balls never leave the table other than through the pockets. The algorithms used in the game almost are undeniably similar to ones used in slot machines. If you haven't made a purchase in a while almost every game you play will be against not only higher ranked players but also to players that have an extremely high win percentage compared to yours yet at times you do seem to be unstoppable and other times it seems the only ball that goes in the pocket is the cue ball.
I play on because I'm addicted. Don't start playing unless you like addictions in your life. I keep saying to myself to delete this game forever. Maybe I will sometime but not today. 😎🤔☠️
