What's New in Version 1.3
Initiating a drift now reduced to a button press and wheel turn
This game is a fantastic conversion of the arcade and Dreamcast classic which also appeared on ps2. The game is fun and plays well, playing the way it did and should. My only complaint is that drifting is not done exactly the same way strictly speaking. In this version, you have a drift button that makes you drift when it is pushed while turning. In the original game, you had to shift into reverse real quick and then immediately shift back to drive while simultaneously jacking the steering wheel (or turn with the analog stick if you prefer) in a direction left or right which, when done, caused you to turn and then drift slide. It just took more technique than pushing a button while turning. Other than that I'm pleased. The game is arcade perfect and still impresses. The design choices vis a vis the drifting button implementation are all done well. I do implore the developers to add a tilt control scheme that emulates the arcade and Dreamcast control scheme exactly.
🌀Nostalgic for the Dreamcast🌀
Sega, shut up and take my money! I love you so much for releasing this amazing Dreamcast port! Please give us a Dreamcast successor in the near future. ➡🌀🌀⬅
I updated this app and it still works flawlessly! If you're experiencing the app crashing, I'd suggest deleting the app and re-downloading it. Close all apps running in the background and reboot your device. Please don't listen to the iPhone 5 owners; unfortunately the best iPhone is the iPhone 4S. I usually sport the latest iOS and latest iPhone, although I believe the iPhone 5 and iOS 6 are immense downgrades! I'm content with the iPhone 4S and iOS 5.1.1; no complaints so far!
You have the option to add your own music if you want, although one the main selling points is the original soundtrack "The Offspring". Also, it has vibration (iPhone only), like the Dreamcast Jump Pack; the best!
This is the only 5 star rating I gave this year because it deserves it! I like how you have something, that its not suppose to do, and it just does it very well! I guess its how this game makes me feel and it makes me love it so much as well! I was wondering how the user interface would be attainable on iOS and Sega achieved it very well!
My iPhone 4S app collection is now complete, thanks to my beloved Sega! The price is the same for a Starbucks Triple Caramel Macchiato, although it's worth every penny! Get it now while it's CALIENTE (HOT)!
Are ya ready? Here we go! Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah!
So there I am discussing classic video games with some of my friends and one of them mentions "Crazy Taxi." "Agreed" we all say and I start to wonder if there's a Crazy Taxi related app on the App Store. So I go in, the most I'm expecting to find is maybe some lame temple run clone but what do I find instead? The real McCoy itself! The original classic Crazy Taxi! Best of all the price I paid for it was ZERO!!! I half expected there to be some in app purchases but no! There's only 1 ad on the main screen (ironically for the Crazy Taxi temple run clone) but that's it, and the game plays exactly like the original! It runs so smoothly and has that same great soundtrack! I mean, who hasn't played crazy taxi for any length of time and doesn't remember: "Are ya ready? Here we go! (Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah!)" 5/5 hands down one of the best hidden gems on the App Store! If you don't have it already, get it now!
