Customer Reviews

Clumsy and nearly unusable

Tried it with iOS 9.1 on iPhone 6S Plus

Briefly: don't buy it if you want anything more than copy-paste between cloud drives (iCloud not among them!)

Giving 2 stars, not 1, because this masterpiece worked with OneDrive in a predictable way (and in hope it works with other 3d-party cloud storage no worse).

The rest is terrible:

WiFi Connect does nothing useful. Yep, it opens http://<your ip> (port 80) Nothing there, and it's probably good - no option to run https server, no options for at least a password protection of the web interface.

Doesn't show iCloud's top level directory from iCloud link, only it's own folder (which is in turn invisible from iCloud's web interface, but visible from the standard app). However, all the iCloud is visible for the file viewer. Complete interface confusion between Local files and iCloud. C'mon, it is supposed to be primary external storage for Apple devices!

The setting "Set touch ID" does no more, then WiFi connect. May be, also for the better.

No visible integration with a standard Mail app.

Sorry, I don't want to dig this heap deeper to find more things that don't work as expected or require some not very obvious movements from my side to become usable. I'm not your QA team neither the interface design advisor, I was supposed to be your customer. Waste of money.

What does it really do?

I spent several minutes reviewing the app store search results for an app that would let me unzip image files and let me see and use them on my iPad Pro. What ultimately got me clicking this one was the GmbH at the end of the company name. I tend to generally trust German engineering.

Unfortunately, I should have been more discriminate. It's German *engineering* that is the pride of the fatherland. Not interface design or UX. (This is why Mercedes & other German companies send small teams to Silicon Valley cowork spaces, but that is a conversation for other media.)

This interface is clumsy. I don't know what I'm doing. Following tutorial's directions I went to the URL from the app's browser to download my intended .zip file. And nothing happened.

Now, I don't know if I am supposed to do something else, but I can't intuit *what* I am supposed to do next.

I would really like this app to work, because i already paid the $5 entry fee, and many of the other entries in the "zip files" searchspace look like downright scam artists. If this firm went through the ordeal to register a company to make apps, that means they're serious!

And, if they are serious, they should hold themselves accountable, listen to customer feedback, and make a dependable app to solve consumer problems.

But at the moment, just move on.

The Best File Manager I've Seen - (Beats MAC and Windoze)

I was wondering what the new improvements were going to be.

It seems that (not related to this product) but whenever a new version of iOS comes up, I have a backlog of 130+ apps that have updates, and my iPad4 reboots either when it is finished or when it freezes.

So finally I got to download the new update and this is a WOW update. it has everything I've been looking for. Especially being able to copy files from one cloud to another.

As a photographer, I use Dropbox as my backup for my photos. And yesterday I hit the 99 percent full, and I just can't justify paying $99/yr.

Now I can copy all those photos to any of my other clouds, or FTP it to my dedicated server.

No one will get to see it, since I have complete control of my server. Also with FTP, when I design and write a program or a complete system, I can deliver it via the FTP.

And the look and feel of this makes it easier to get around.

Thanks for a KILLER upgrade.
