Some stations use GPS for location-based content. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
What's New in Version 3.1.1
Enhancements and fixes for iOS7.1
This app has to be one of the biggest black eyes for Honda ever. I've experienced several "versions" of this app and all have had no fixes for the thousands of issues. This app flat doesn't and never has worked. None of the stations will show when used in the car and only the most recently used station will work. Of course you have to unplug or disconnect it from your car to do anything with it. This app is not just a piece of junk, it's one of the most unsafe apps I've ever seen. I equate using this app in the car to texting while driving, it distracts you from anything going on outside of the car. Why can't Honda get their act together on this? It's been years now and nothing has changed.
Can't run in background/ not updated for iOS 8.
2 years with this app in my 2013 Accord. It's ok but hasn't been updated to work with iOS 8. You can't run it in the background or it loses its data connection. I just run the regular iOS Aha app with the source on iPod mode. Other bugs still remain. When you select Aha as a source it always says "can't connect to Honda Link" then immediately connects. You always have to grant permission to connect which is unsafe if you're driving. This is probably an iOS limitation. Sometimes it glitches out and refuses to connect at all unless you pull the lightning cable.
Works fine for me
I think everyone's using this wrong because it works for me. I do have a new 2015 accord EXL though. So maybe you need software update for your car.
Choose the stations you like when you're NOT in your car.
Then favorite those stations to get them to appear on your cars touchscreen presets. (Note that this is different from simply adding stations, you then need to star favorite them)
That's it. Pretty simple. Some stations are not stations, they're podcasts. So if it says there's no available broadcast at the moment that's probably why. Just chose another station.
My only complaint is when browsing through new stations I feel like I'm not seeing all of them. It's in alphabetical order and gets cut off at B or C.
