Not a good space sim game
My initial review was meant to give the developers the benefit of the doubt. I had only played the game for a short time, unfair to them to be too critical. However, after having tried everything to upgrade my ship, i've found that this game was developed with one purpose in mind, to separate us from our money. There is no way to upgrade ships without spending money. there's no way to get credits, for blueprints, except to buy them. To get blueprints without spending money, you must defeat enemies. They always come in pairs and are always significantly stronger than you. I'm certainly not adverse to kicking back a couple dollars here and there, to the developers, if I'm progressing in the game, but I've got to WANT to spend money, not HAVE to spend money to progress. Too bad, this started out a decent game. Now it's deleted.
I like these types of games. I, too, had problems steering, at first. But all you do is go to Options and adjust the Steering controls. Now, works great. The only problem I see is with the missions that you can attempt. You complete the mission and it does not go away. You always see the same missions. As for fighting, the key is upgrading. In your home sector, with Freeport, the one fighting mission is achievable, but don't think the missions are any easier when you jump to another sector. You can't even advance very far in the game without upgrading.
This game is wonderful to play and no I don't work for them I'm just another person who enjoys and likes good games and this is 1 of them. Now the game has its pros and cons but that's no different from any game since its up to the person playing it, now I will say the controls do need work like the accelerator controls don't seem to do what you would think since when I tilt my pad forward it goes down and to the right and tilt back it goes up and to the left, I was expecting the controls to be like Galaxy on Fire controls with the accelerator but it's not so that needs work. The game is challenging in fight situations so be ready to really work for your look other than that the game is great oh and sorry but I do hate the music lol like seriously.
Good so far. Great potential!
If you like the Galaxy-On-Fire series, you'll like this game. I agree with the idea to combine all of the shops, shipyards, and etc. together, just for convenience. Wandering is basically pointless unless you add something like allowing the player to mine resources, or even spontaneous pirate attacks. Decreasing the prices for building ships or increasing the rewards earned from winning battles would help a lot, especially those people who are not using iap's to play. Otherwise, this game is a solid and well refined time waster with the potential to become one of the best space games on the App Store.
