Reviewers say:

“From the start, Leo's Pad was a hit…Now that my daughter is 3 years old, I've seen her cognitive behavior improve as well as her problem-solving skills. Even after 10 months of using Leo's Pad, it is still at the top of her list, and she plays nearly every day.” —David R., father of a 3-year-old

“Leo’s Pad is one of the best designed educational apps addressing kids as a whole. It is easy to teach just numbers or letters, it is not easy to build the soft skills into the learning process. This makes Leo’s Pad stand out...”—iGameMom

“The [chapters] develop critical thinking and socio-emotional growth while creatively building from foundational skills, encouraging imagination and problem solving…I hope all students have access to this wonderful learning tool. This is a great investment!”—Alahrie A., educator, principal, and mother of a 6-year-old

“The animations are breathtaking, while the captivating storytelling sustains kids' interest. In addition to fun learning activities, the app weaves in songs that teach and subtle life lessons.”—Jinny Gudmundsen, editor of Tech with Kids and Kid-Tech columnist for USA Today

Leo’s Pad Enrichment Program for Preschoolers breaks new ground for children’s learning in four ways:

The games are designed by a team of learning scientists and based on a comprehensive early childhood curriculum. Through these games, kids practice a variety of skills essential to early learning, including problem solving, working memory, and even turn taking and delayed gratification!

The games’ difficulty levels adapt as children play, extending the value of each chapter by providing just the right level of difficulty to motivate learning and keep kids coming back for more.

Leo’s Pad uses movie-quality animation to bring characters and events to life, for a captivating experience that children love to relive again and again.

Fun stories and memorable songs from our Emmy-winning creative director improve learning and maximize knowledge retention.

Kids love it

My girls have been playing Leo's Pad for a long time. This app was chosen by them, not me. I actually just threw a bunch of free educational apps on their iPad but this one they play alot. When I am driving, I can often hear the Leo characters talking and singing. What really caught my attention though was my girls singing along with lyrics that actually had educational value. They were singing something about "trying new things". The interesting part is they not only played it over a year ago but are still playing. When we switched iPads to accommodate their sibling, the girls both noticed Leo's Pad wasn't there and asked for it. While it is entertaining for the kids, it has a nice mix of mathematics, science, language arts and more all hidden inside. There is also a lot of social-emotional learning. I've been surprised at how much my kids have been attached to this app. I don't usually bother writing app reviews but my kids really love this one and I love that there are hidden educational gems inside of it in a fun way. Also this is one that will not drive a parent crazy hearing the audio over and over in the car repeatedly. It has pleasant sounding conversations and songs. The lyrics are all great for inspiring kids.

Great Educational App

We received Leo's Pad app for free to try through a campaign from BzzAgent; however, my opinions are 100% my own.

Leo's Pad is a great educational app. It's set in a story mode. My son enjoys watching the videos and then there are activities to go along with the story. It has become part of our morning routine. He gets to play Leo's Pad while I tend to his sister in the morning. I enjoy that he is learning while playing. It has a great set up where the child replays the same level before another one is unlocked. You can unlock the levels earlier if you wish as well. My 3 year old son needs some assistance at times figuring out what is being asked or what he needs to do to complete an activity. After he plays it once or twice though he can do it on his own. I would recommend Learner Mosaic to go along with this app to track your child's progress and help them expand on what they are learning. Great app overall!! I would recommend to friends :)

Remarkable combo of learning and FUN!

I read a lot about education and learning. This the by far the best combination I’ve seen of children's cognitive research and FUN. Most apps are lucky to succeed in one or the other. Leo's Pad has both!
My 3.5 year old granddaughter has been playing and loving this app for a year. All aspects are very high quality: engaging and fun narrative, wide range of great activities and challenges (only a few that feel a bit contrived for learning), lovable characters, animation. They teach a wide range of skills and problem solving. Remarkably they even teach some 'soft' skills like sharing, tenacity (grit!), patience, and taking turns. You even get a subscription to a newsletter for non-iPad learning activities at home (all free). All of this is underpinned by a framework and database that tracks progress and then adjusts challenge level (I’ve been building software for 35 years, so I notice and value such things). Well done, Kidaptive. HIGHLY recommended.
