I never write review...I HAD TO!
How huge is MET life? This company takes in hundreds of millions of dollars on annual basis and they can’t afford to get their PAY FEATURE TO WORK ON THEIR APP OR WEBSITE? It’s absolutely ridiculous that we as customer should have to encounter stress every single time we attempt to GIVE YOU OUR HARD EARNED MONEY! Basically we all want to pay you on time using a service you say you offer but you have known for years now that this has been an issue! Yes YEARS, for at least two years I have been encountering issues every single time I try to pay my dues. Here’s the worst part, the WHY you are allowing this to continue, cause let’s be honest, it could get fixes in 24 hours time, but you want to make it harder to pay you because then you can add late fees when the last minute people can’t complete their transactions, it probably results in a couple million more dollars a year...I think it’s only right that we report this to the better business bureau... this is criminal at this point. They have tens of thousands of complaints all saying the same thing... I want answers and I think it’s only right we get some.
Simply Horrid - MetLife’s Payment System
It’s absolutely amazing how difficult MetLife makes paying bills. I handle my elderly family member’s insurances. Every single time I go to pay any of his policies, I have to try a dozen different ways to pay. Sometimes the third attempt works. Sometimes I have to switch to the desktop site and try that multiple times. Unfortunately, most often than not, I have to call the customer support hotline. Every single time I call, someone tells me, “we’re currently experiencing problems with our payment system.” Currently? Every single time. AND the last time I called, they wanted to charge me a convenience fee for taking the payment over the phone. My other option was being late on the payment.
It’s not that hard to get a payment system work. As soon as possible, these policies will be closed and MetLife will be a distant memory. But, until then, the customers have to suffer.
Flaws without paws
I have to agree with other reviews about how bad the app is. The pay option NEVER works and the app is pointlessly convoluted, the whole thing needs and overhaul and to be simplified. Its not like metlife doesn’t have the money to fix this either, they just don't care. When i asked why the app never works the customer service informed me they know it doesn't work and constantly get phone calls about it from other people and i should just find a different way to pay because they have no idea when or if it will be fixed. Awesome. The only update this app has since I've owned it for the last few years was that they removed snoopy. Literally the one and only good thing about the app was that snoopy (formerly the cartoon mascot of metlife) was on the cover.
