What's New in Version 2.6.3
Hey, A&E Fans!
With this update you'll get an amazing VR experience for the Critics' Choice Awards - airing Sunday, December 11th!
It takes a lot of tweaking, restarting and finessing to actually watch a show. Initially I thought it was because I was using a chromecast and just chalked it up to connection issues, but I've realized watching via phone has the same problems. Pushing certain links/buttons in the app cause the whole app to crash (but it still shows as opened when doubleclicking the home button) I won't be using this app until an update is released.
Outside of the sucky programming I have no other complaints - it's too time consuming to get to work...shouldn't have to have a full set of perquisites in order to watch a show.
Would be five stars if the app didn't crash (and all the ads)
I think the A&E app is great, for the most part. When I sign in with my DIRECTV account I have access to all the shows. Also, the app is compatible with Chromecast-- a major plus that (for some reason) not every app provides.
There are two problems: first, every time I try to access my watch list on the app, it crashes. So when I want to watch an episode of a show I'm binging, I have to seek out the show and find the next episode. I know, not exactly a major problem, but an inconvenience to be sure.
The second problem: the deluge of ads, typically the same two or three over and over through an episode. It's a little much.
If this bug can be fixed, and the ads lessened (or at least more varied), it's a five-star app.
I feel like the app needs improvement on what you can and can't watch, its really annoying to start a series and then not be able to finish it because of the required cable provider I feel like this is super unfair and not really effective it kind of sounds like this app doesn't want you to watch all of their videos and I would like to know how to change that to make the app be much easier to use
