Accurately Track Every Mile
Every time you drive your car, MileIQ can track your miles so that you can report them on your business log or taxes. Some MileIQ customers benefit from an increase in the total miles logged and they enjoy being able to write off more expenses. MileIQ is always on, meaning that you get peace of mind having a tracker that is accurate to the mile and working to protect your budget.
Tracking Business Miles
If you have to track business miles for work, consider that each mile you drive in your car is worth 53.5 cents in tax deductions or expense reimbursement. When you keep a manual mileage log, you have to remember to write your miles down and keep track of all of your paperwork. MileIQ is an easy mileage tracker that works for you without you having to do much of anything.
Think about the following:
• If you use your car for business and drive 1,000 miles, you can claim an annual mileage deduction of $535 (1,000 miles times the standard mileage rate of 53.5 cents).
• Drive 10,000 miles per year for business, in your own vehicle? Your standard mileage deduction is $5,350.
What does the average MileIQ customer log for mileage deductions? About $6,900. How much do you log? What if you could log more, just by downloading a simple miles tracker?

Inconsistent Needs Improved
Even with following all their suggestions and directions the app still fails to capture all drives. Often it will record one part of a round trip. For example I will drive across town to a destination and park. Run my errand. Come back to my CR and drive back to where I started. When I go to swipe my drives only one will show up and there isn't an option to click and say round trip or to add the other half while on my mobile. The app also likes to ask if you want to auto classify a drive you make frequently but if you say "not now" it doesn't stop asking you. I have several destinations that are both types of drives and if I autoclassify then it will always be personal or always be business. I wish you could just have a button that YOU chose to click to make something an auto classification. Hugely annoying.
This app should and could be upgraded on many levels. Especially as a PAID app!
Great app, could use a couple things.
Basically, I really love the app. It is very user-friendly and since I almost always have my location on, I don't have to remember to do anything. I very recently switched from the Samsung galaxy S7 to the iPhone 7 Plus and for some reason my drives do not just pop up to classify anymore. I didn't realize this until I got my weekly summary and it said I have a lot of open drives left to classify. That is tricky because then I can't remember everything that the drives were for. Also, sometimes on one leg of a round trip the mileage will be off. Which is interesting because I drive the same exact route both ways. So it makes me feel like it's probably not 100% accurate. Either way I am pleased with the app for the most part and would definitely recommend it
Long/Straight Drives Only
In theory, it's a good app. If you do all long drives, it will probably be fine. This app has NEVER recorded a trip between offices for me. They are only .3-.5 mi. apart, but 6 days a week and often 2+ times in a day. The app must have decided it's too short a route to record, but now I have no record of the 20+ miles per month. I would manually override, but there isn't a way for the driver to manually start a drive that I can find. I also agree with a previous poster that it does not record round trips properly. I make a trip with 3-4 stops, and it seems to only count the miles from the start to the 4th stop as a linear line, disregarding the additional miles for stops in the middle. Okay bare bones app if accuracy is not important.
