What's New in Version 1.10
Gives user the option to select “Remember Me” and have their login credentials- username and password- remembered by the app. Eliminates the need to enter credentials each time you login, allowing for quicker access into the app.
Does the job but
The app only works in landscape on the iPad and it would be nice if you could use it in portrait mode. It could work in portrait on the iPad just like the iPhone and in landscape on the iPhone just like the iPad.
Also it would be nice if the app would send notifications to your iPhone or iPad if you have an alarm event. Emails are nice but sometimes emails don't arrive in a timely manner.
Photo and video display windows are too small. It would be nice to be able to tap on the picture or video and view full screen. The quality of the pictures & videos is not great. Don't know if they would do much good in identifying an individual that may break into your house. Response is really slow on monitoring videos and movement of the internal camera. May not be worth the $350 initial payment and the $10 a month you have to pay for the service. Guess you can say I'm not really happy with my cameras. It would be nice to have and/or capability. If a device does this and/or another device does this then do this.
Not bad, not great
For the most part this app allows access to the AT&T Digital Life features but load times are far too sporadic. I shouldn't have to wait 3 minutes for the app to start up before I disarm the alarm to enter my home. For an app like this things need to work more effectively and quickly. Also, menus are very glitchy, with buttons that don't do what they are suppose to do when I click them. In particular, camera control is very iffy because clicking the arrows to change camera position doesn't always work, and the save position button does not work at all like it does on the desktop web browser version. Things need to be cleaned up, but in general, having access to the wide set of features offered by Digital Life in the palm of my hand is a huge plus and leap in technology in my eyes. I definitely feel like I have better control of what's going on in my house with this app.
App Works Great!
Overall I believe AT&T did a fantastic job with this solution. I am able to control my lights, thermostats, create programs that run appliances together! Truly remarkable! I use the app for everything and plan on getting more features in the future. Hopefully a garage door "opener" :). As for the keypad of the system and the alarm horn, I think AT&T really needs to work on better hardware for that.
The only dislike I have with the app is the "login" piece. Is it possible to have the app logged in all the time PLEASE!!! It would be so much better to turn on lights, adjust thermostats on the fly (the way this should truly be). At least provide an option to do this if the user would like to. :)
PS - what happened to spaces?
