All you need is a library card from your local library. Titles stream instantly, and are automatically returned at the end of the lending period. Your local public library must have an account set up with Hoopla Digital before you can use the Hoopla app. Please ask your library if they have a Hoopla Digital account before installing Hoopla.

The library cardholder experience is important, and we value your time and opinion. If you’re feeling generous with your time and have a couple of minutes, please leave a review of the hoopla app. Thanks in advance!
Note: We recommend updating to the latest version of iOS for the best experience.
What's New in Version 3.3.3
• Fixed a bug that caused the app to crash when launched for a small number of users.
Bring back titles when browsing
In the old version of this app, you could browse through music, for example, and see album titles and artists along with the artwork/cover. Now when I scroll through all I see is the album cover which totally defeats the purpose of quickly browsing through. Please include the artist name and album name under the artwork again otherwise it creates a poor user experience. Many times there aren’t any words on the album cover, and instead it’s just a random picture and that’s super unhelpful and pointless for browsing.
At first I was very excited. The UI is nice and there are a ton of audiobooks available. The problem is when audio boys are downloaded the app begins playback at random spots & doesn't remember where you left off. There is a bookmark function that works when streaming but not on downloaded copies. Rewinding doesn't work in downloads either. Everything seems to work ok when streaming but that eats up data fast. The app is also a major battery killer right now. This could be a great app and much better than Overdrive if a couple of these bugs were fixed.
I can never get through a whole movie . If I pause, and it asks me if I want to resume when I go back to it, it takes me back to the beginning of the movie. With the new version, I can no longer figure out the download. Does not appear to be downloading when I thought it was. Have gotten on an airplane 3 times thinking I had a movie to watch and nothing was there even though it had shown, on the old app, a finished download. Very disappointing. I have lots of favorites marked but may never get to watch them . Now I am getting a very fuzzy picture on two different movies.
