Never spent a dime

This game is by far the best card trading game in the App Store. I have never spent a dime and I'm currently a three-star gold rank and working on getting platinum. It is simple to learn, strategic, and difficult to master. The game I've played for years even through the updates in and keep coming back to it no matter how many different card trading games I download this is the one I have always stuck with because it is the best. The best way to build a deck is by saving for event tickets and using those for the draft. You get to keep every card from the draft. Make sure you choose the highest rarity card that way you can sell them when you get more than three of a kind and purchase a legendary card of your choice. If/when you lose in multiplayer learn from the person who beat you and purchase those cards that they used against you or form your own strategy.

Spend Money & Win. If not no progression.

I am so sick and tired of playing games that require spending money in order to progress. This game lures you in with easy first couple of battles rewarding you with a few packs of cards. However that is about it unless you are playing online. Which anyone is hardly playing online so your stuck with campaign. However as the matches get beaten and you progress obviously it gradually increases the difficulty. Now how does one keeps it deck as strong as the rest? You got it, spend money. You can try to beat the matches but unless you have luck on your side and get really amazing cards from the free booster packs they give you. Your stuck. There is no XP. There are no good try points for attempting to beat the match. It's just you lose you start all over, that's it. Maybe if you win we might get you a free pack or one card.

+1 Year Break...

I started playing this game over 3 years ago, never missed a day. They "updated" it and decided everything needs an animation that takes forever to resolve.
The mechanics are amazing, but considering how long it takes to play one card, you are better off playing a tcg at your local game store against a halitosis mouth breather with boundary issues.
And no, there isn't an acceleration option in the menu. Over a year and they still haven't fixed the animation is boring after your 10th game.
If I ever remember SolForge again, I might play again and see if they fixed it (and update my review) but I feel burned after spending cash supporting a game I loved and to see it take this turn. Sorry devs. I wanted to share this with my friends, but I can't, not like this.
