Does not work
Great idea but does not work. I tried scanning some reference several times and it read them with mistakes and was unable to retrieve the references.
The new update doesn't work either.
This app reflects poorly on Thomson-Reuters
I'm an academic librarian with some background in usability and User Experience (UX), and this app feels like a beta or maybe even just a proof-of-concept.
1.) Allow me to at least see (if not search) my EndNote Web library!
2.) In re the "Add Reference" function, where is reference type switching?! Looks like it's "journals only" if a user wants to add a reference via the app...
3.) Scan seems like a nice (even useful!) feature... but to make it DOI-only?! Why can't I scan a barcode on the back of the book and have it pull up the ISBN?
I'll be deleting this app off my phone, but not before griping to someone at the Thomson booth at ALA in a couple weeks... :-|
Good idea but doesn't work
Needs to be able to see onscreen DOI as well (needs a filter)
Needs to be tagged with metadata so when I hit the home button and search for my endnote app this comes up. It's still endnote, even if its just a helper app and not the iPad endnote app. That's what I remember when I want to use this app anyway...
