Are you a fan of TGear’s "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car" segment? Do you like watching celebrities flog the show’s Kia Cee'd (or its Suzuki Liana predecessor) around the track, but think you could do better than Simon Cowell (or at least Steve Coogan) if you ever got the chance? Well you’re in luck! The show has a new video game on its website where you can test your skills and see where you’d fall on the leaderboard.
It's pretty simple. You can take the Liana or the Cee'd around the track for a timed lap. Once you get in a time of less than 1:44, you can use the Veyron. Race by yourself, or with Stig and/or Jeremy…kind of. You're on the same track at the same time, but the cars can drive through each other. Once the lap is over, your time comes up on a leaderboard. You can keep driving if you like, but the leaderboard is in the middle of the screen and won't go away. The physics are pretty simple, too. The game seems to reward keeping the accelerator down the whole time and just throwing the car in the direction you want to go. It's not bad, it's just…not worth more than a couple of dollars. If it stays at $2 or less, then it's worth it.
A fun game to play for short periods of time.
TGear: test track does quite a good job at replicating the cars and how they handle, as well as speeds, and acceleration. The game does have some depth. For instance, after doing a single race you can race Jeremy, the Stig, or both of them at the same time. You can also unlock the Veyron by getting a time of 1:44 or less. Overall, TGear: test track is fun to play from time to time, and is definetly worth two dollars.
Well, that was a waste of 2 bucks
