The chips are down and the ante is up in this sentence already bursting with poker clichés!
Take the fifth seat in Poker Night 2 and go all in at a table featuring Claptrap (Borderlands 2), Brock Samson (The Venture Bros.), Ash (Army of Darkness) and Sam (Sam and Max series). Your dealer is GLaDOS (Portal series), but at no point will you be considered as a candidate for a visit to Aperture Science’s Enrichment Center. Unless you lose.
• Listen to your new poker buddies’ hilarious banter discussing life, Rusty Venture’s underwear and other amusing anecdotes!
• Unlock in-game bounties including themed tables, chips, cards and other awesome items!
• Play either Texas Hold ‘em or the slightly less popular Omaha Hold ‘em. No one knows why it’s less popular. Omaha is a great place.

Good fun poker
This game is great. Conversations are hilarious. Sure a few miss the mark a bit, but that's going to happen. Actually I think all of the humor fits the characters really well. They will also make little jabs at you from time to time. Some of the conversations will repeat occasionally, and that's to be expected to some extent. But repetitions aren't as bad as some reviewers make it out to be. And I've played this game for hours. Also conversations depend on who is still at the table. I really hope telltale games puts some updates out for more content. Also buying new felts, cards, and chips will change up the animations and a few conversations. Bruce Campbell doesn't do the voice of Ash, but the voice is spot on and hardly noticeable if at all. If you don't like the characters and in game banter, I'd suggest not getting this title. Find a fast paced pure poker game. I enjoy the dialog and humor while playing.
I have experienced a few freezes in the game. They seem to happen during flops and at the end of hands before the next deal. I am running the game on an iPhone 5. Each time the game would reset, and if a hand was dealt it would be lost, but the same tournament would be there. I'd give it 4 stars for this, but I'd rather try to counter the 1 star reviews. I think 1 star is completely unfair with a well done poker game like this. In all, this is a great poker game. Very much worth the price tag.
Good, but it has a few flaws.
I have been waiting for this game to be released on iOS! The reasons being that my brother doesn't let me use his Xbox 360, we do not have a PS3, and I rarely even use Steam. So iOS was my onlu choice. The game is very good, but it has a few flaws. The game lags like hell, alot. And I have iOS 6, so it shouldn't be a problem with my iPod. Also, it's hard to control. The touch support only works when it wants too. I tap multiple times on the same spot and nothing happens until about 10 taps later. Also, the scroll bar when doing a raise barely works. I have no idea whether or not the game is recognizing I'm doing a raise, since there's no bar to move up or down. Also, most of the time when I start the game, it crashes to the springboard before it can even get to the loading screen. Also, it needs to have unlockables to other apps like the game does with the console versions or at least have Game Center integration to make winning a bounty item worth it. Like how about some items for one of the Adult Swim iOS games for bounties to coincide with Brock Samson's inclusion? Or how about unlocks for the upcoming Borderlands Legends port because of ClapTrap's inclusion? Or how about something for the Sam and Max games?
3/5 stars, because these bugs can easily be fixed in later versions. But seeing how this is TellTale, that's very unlikely.
Frustrating but fun.
This game is kind of fun but at a certain point the outcomes are totally rigged in favor of the game. For instance, when you eliminate all players except for one and go head to head you'll find your opponent has a better hand than you about 80% of the time no matter how good you think your hand is- twice in a row I had a straight, both times my opponent had a straight one card higher than me. What are the odds of that?!?! With the frequency of things like that happening in this game it becomes rather frustrating and ridiculous. Of course, too, this really starts happening after you've won several tournaments. So the game pulls you in by letting you win tournaments fairly easily when you first start playing then becomes almost impossibly unfair after that. I was up $120,000 at one point shortly after I started playing this game. I am now down $240,000 and have not been able to win a tournament in over 20 tries despite eliminating all but one player several times.
That being said, it's a creative and fun game to play if you don't get too bent about losing a lot.
