Great, but could use improvement.
Argus is an app that helps you track your daily life and tell you how you should improve on it. My only problem is the social side of it. This is because there really is no way to connect to your friends and load times for searching take awhile to load. In order to improve that they should add a "add friends from contacts" feature along with the ability to add/connect more social networks to your account. The second and last problem I have with this app is the way you record your information into the app. This is because you must open the app and record each and every thing on their, but usually I'll forget which means barely any data ever gets entered. To improve the team behind Argus should add a reminder feature in which you can set personal reminders at different points of the day in order to help you record and input more data.
I gave this a five star rating because overall Argus is one of the best health apps out there. I would have given it a 4.5 rating because of the faults in it, but I can't and a 4 star rating just wouldn't do it justice.
I use the app daily. I wish it had a way to keep track of calories other than taking a picture of your food. And a way to compare calories burned vs calories ingested.
Occasionally the app subtracts steps but I think it is just a small bug. The app seems to loose me. Sometimes on my most active days it looses me for the entire most active period of my day. If I'm running around a park for work and get home and argus says I had no activity during the entire time, it is frustrating. Each new update seems to be getting worse as far as updating to a new day each morning and losing steps. The other day I opened argus at it said I had walked 110 steps and the next time I opened it it dropped to 87 even though I was walking the entire time between. It doesn't matter if I'm online or not, it happens when on wifi and cellular data.
I am fond of health apps, anyways. However, this app recently caught my attention. I had it installed on my phone for a while but I wasn't using it. Today, I took out some time to explore its features and found the interface very interactive. Another new feature I like in the app is to create challenges with your friends. I think it will really motivate me to do better. I have recommended it to a few of my friends and family.
I had been using MapMyWalk for a while now. But this app performs better. Although I haven't used its GPS feature to track the routes where I walk/run but overall the dashboard and the charts you get out of it are really useful.
I would have given 5 stars but I have only used its pedometer primarily. Once I explore other features I will consider improving my rating for the app.
