Love it! Anyone who likes to draw...
Omg! I saw a bad rant by another user and had to write my own review. I would give this 6 stars if I could.
I love this game. I've reset and relayed it at least 4 times. It is great for anyone interested in drawing. It doesn't teach you to draw, but it is great practice for sketching what you see. It exercises the your artist's brain. Although some shapes are basic, it is harder than it looks to recreate the image by sight and memory. I seriously adore this game, and can't understand why there aren't more apps like this.
As for bad reviews, from what I have read, it seems these users had different expectations from this app. It is a game that does show your percentage of accuracy. No, an "artist" is can not express themselves through the practice of line perfection. But this isn't meant to teach you to to draw the Mona Lisa. However, it is excellent practice to tap into the conceptual and creative side of your brain. And it is just plain fun. I think some are taking it too seriously.
Intriguing but could use some improvement
This app is pretty interesting, as it looks like it could help you practice drawing. The two things that i don't like are
1. Even with using a stylus, the lines come out a bit shaky. I dont even draw such shaky lines with a real pencil. I use a Logiix Diamond stylus and it writes like a dream in Tayasui sketches app. I guess the line drawing engine could be improved.
2. Some drawings dont let you pick up the stylus, instead you must draw the object in one straight line. Take drawing the square for example. The app requires you to draw it at once without picking up the stylus. But to draw a good square you probably want to draw 4 separate lines.
Regardless, this app is fun and innovative and i look forward to seeing it grow. I think it will be fun for all ages.
I wanna thicker lines
Great, interesting, useful practise this app gives me, but it's difficult to draw so a thin lines with my fingers!!! ((((
