What people are saying:

"It’s a million impressive little things. It’s the blurring of the background; its the subtle parallax scroll when flipping between cities; it’s the way the windmills spin faster or slower based on the actual current windspeed." - Greg Kumparak, TechCrunch

Pretty backgrounds, good info, can't customize city order

After Apple's weather app went on strike I needed a new one. Yahoo's is better. Clean graphics and interface, all the info you want on a tiny screen. I love that you can link to bad weather advisories & get back with no drama. Lots of weather info, easy to read, you can pick your own cities & get nice photos for each. The big minus is you can't put your cities in the order you want. Recommend. Btw First app I tried had little fruit machines at the bottom of the screen which you couldn't avoid touching & I got fed up. Yes there are ads on this as you scroll down & they have that sleazy Yahoo look which the rest of the app doesn't have, but they're all in one place so avoidable. I mean, it's free guys.

Ads ruined this otherwise great app

I really, really dislike ads. I'm all about Yahoo being able to pay their employees but why not allow any way to pay to get the ads removed? A paid app? A monthly subscription? Is there really no plans at all to allow those of us who don't want ads to have a way to get around this? In the meantime I'll just use the default weather app, since it is nearly as good and comes with no ads. Anyone else who feels the same about these ads that they snuck in after getting everyone on the app first should make sure they take the time to rate this app poorly, because hopefully once their App Store rating goes down enough, they'll take notice and fix this major issue with their blind decision making in regards to ads. I guess the "build something for everyone" ethos over at Apple doesn't extend to third-party apps.

iPad version Widget stability/glitch/bug problem

The widget is not displaying anything but the name of the widget and the app icon on the banner (I guess that's what it's called). Not even a blank transparent space that says "unable to load" like it did for iPhone. (the iPhone widget works perfectly now, thank you!!) Tap to retry is definitely not an option. It should update and display as expected every time I go to the today tab and scroll down to the yahoo weather widget but it doesn't. Please fix this!! I rely on this widget now as it is the easiest yet free option for iPad since a preloaded weather app never existed for this generation which is quite weird and inconvenient. I'm using an iPad 2 with the latest iOS and version of this app.
