What's New in Version 3.4
El Capitan fixes: we've fixed a crasher during importing text files that El Capitan triggered, and a problem where the main window wouldn't remember where you put it between launches.
We've also added a feature to filter the selected shelf when searching (like Library 2 did) instead of showing results in a separate popup window (which we added in Library 3). To activate search-on-shelf click on the Search field, then its adjacent magnifying glass. Select the “Filter shelf” preference from the drop-down menu. Amazon results are still listed in the search popup (click the triangle in the header to collapse them), but the selected shelf will now display only items matching the search terms.
• Fixed a crash which occurred when speech recognition was first enabled and being downloaded.
• Fixed a crash which occurred on older Macs with graphics cards using the NVIDIA GeForce Tesla driver.
• Fixed a bug where some items from Amazon were drawing very short.
• Fixed a bug where the bottom of the window would appear transparent the first time Library was launched.
The best way to manage your physical media collection.
This app is a wonder for anyone looking to catalog and track a physical media collection. It could not be any easier to add new items to your collection. Pair it with your iPhone, grab a stack and you’ll be scanning another item every couple of seconds (or use your Mac’s camera). It’s easy to add items that don’t have a barcode or the rare instance that the barcode can’t be matched. Want to look at just your movies? Just click the category. Want to look at your books? Click the category. Want to be able to view just the Batman graphic novels in your collection? Create a shelf and automatically add books with Batman in the title. Want to loan something out to a friend? Add their name and just drag items and never forget which of your friends has what. I cannot express how happy I am with this application.
I haven't had any problems with this app. I use it to catalog 800+ movies. The mobile app turns your iPhone into a scanner which is great. Sometimes it doesn't identify some older movies. It would be great if the mobile app did more than just scan so you could take your library on the go. I’m sure the monsters at Delicious Library will get around to even more great features. I’ve used the app to keep up with my chogokin collection. Keep up the good work guys. Looking forward to more.
Everything in its place
An easy and effective way of sorting your collection of movies, music and books. Have used this for several iterations and it just gets better and better. Barcode reader does a good job, provided you cut down in the glare of the plastic wrap — especially in the case of movies and CD’s. The alphabetized list is an easy way to find “I think I’ve got that” title. And a bookcase to satisfy just about any taste. Since I have almost 1,000 titles to sort out, this is very, very helpful.
