I love Quell!! Best game in App Store!

Update: Even better than I expected!! Definitely as good as the other two! Maybe better. For anyone who has never played Quell, I suggest starting with the first one. You learn tricks that come in handy, and it leaves you wanting more. I love all three parts: Quell, Quell Reflect and now Quell Memento. You don't have to play all three, each teaches you the game in an interesting way. But you will love it so much, you'll end up buying all three... Also I wanted to remind potential gamers that the first two are released by the game developers: Fallen Tree.

I'm so excited about this new edition of Quell! The first Quell is one of my top three all-time favorite games (Peggle, Sword and Poker, Quell :).

I love what I see so far from this edition. I've played it for 20 mins and love it! I will give a more substantial review when I've had more time with it.

I must admit that I'm a little worried that the game is not been released by the initial developer- Fallen Tree. I hope none of the elegance and charm has been lost in translation....

Excellent puzzle game

This is a really excellent and interesting game. The puzzles are challenging and often require creative thinking, but solutions don't depend on luck nor are they so hard as to be frustrating instead of fun. Navigation between puzzles is easy, and repeating them for better (perfect!) scores is simple to do. The art is also beautiful!

Two minor criticisms: the intro sequence is tediously long -- I have seen the company credits and am bored by seeing it yet again -- and the tutorials for new pieces/devices are weak, so that one often has to waste several moves figuring out what a thing does and how it can be moved or used. Not a dealbreaker, as one can easily restart the puzzle and still get perfect scores, but it could be done properly in the first place and eliminate this minor irritation. Not annoying enough to lose a whole star, but if I could give 4.5 stars it wouldn't have gotten 5. I hope this will be addressed in future updates.

Outstanding! Reminiscent to Rings of the Magi

Ever since my addition to the Rings back in the 90s I've been searching high & low for either an updated version of the game or something with a similar puzzle feel. I have finally found it here in Memento. The backstory is different, the puzzles are different, but you still have the same thought processes to dig through & that is what I enjoy. I'm getting into the progressively more difficult boards and like the challenge of solving them below a certain number of moves. Wish there was more story associated with each level, maybe giving a reason for the name of the level in relation to the story. Doesn't all seem to jive with the images on the boards either. Would be more satisfying and easier to explain to more cerebral players if there was a complete tie-in to a storyline. Anyway, thank you for a wonderful little game. I am thoroughly enjoying it! (Considering this is one of my first reviews, you should know I must REALLY like your game.)
