Worthless to me
I spent $20 on this app because of all the great reviews. Everyone seems to regard Screens as the best vnc client. But I have tried using it with the screens connect client on multiple personal and work macs. Some work initially when on the same network, but then fail to connect afterwards. Most clients give a port mapping unavailable status and never work. I hate Google as much as anyone, but why does chrome Remote Desktop work flawlessly for free when the paid app screens fails? You may have better luck than me, but this app has proven worthless to me.
Thought I wanted the other screens for mac that it would come with all for $30 but no they're separate ;( but I bought the screens iOS and after ensuring the firewall is set right even with ssh things work great on and off my home network!
Fast and seamless
I initially had trouble connecting. I discovered it was the hotel wifi. I walked into the Apple Store to piggyback on their wifi and it connected quickly.
This is a fantastic app. The screen on my ipad mini has a good resolution and very legible to read. The response time or lag is not bad, pretty fast that is.
You need the Screens app for iOS ($19.99) and Screen Connect app for OS X (free). Register for free ID when you install the OS X app. Then enable Screens Connect on the Screens app in iOS. The apps will enable screen sharing for you or you can change that in the Settings in mac yourself. These are all you need.
