What's New in Version 2.1.40124
• Bug fixes
Re-reEdit: Needs major improvements
2 stars: These playback issues are going to make me cancel my subscription. This is getting ridiculous. "Sorry we can't play this track" on files downloaded to my device with DRM? Is this a joke? The vanilla app functioned better which I rated 3 stars.
Now that those issues have been fixed, I would like to note others...
•Occasional playback crash, not full app crash.
•If I have downloaded the song, why isn't there a "seek" function?
•Playlists tab needs to be easier to manage. Current "list" format is cluttered. If you're just going to list them, make them smaller. Wasting time and real estate with Tiles.
•Can we get a recently played or album/song/artist history tab? Just like the info with Radio.
3 stars is a generous rating. This does the job, yet there are major stability issues.
How to "glitch:"
Click "Play" on any song, don't wait for song to finish initial loading, exit to home screen. The song will never load.
Select a playlist, begin playing songs, try to change song by clicking individual song, app will then play that song and discontinue playback.
Load times between songs are far too long.
This could potentially be a very good app. Instead it's frustrating.
Never had an app apologize so much
I really enjoy using Microsoft products and I enjoy xbox music on my xbox and on my windows 8 PC. However, this app for iOS is just bad. Constant error messages regarding playback and not all songs are available to listen to on "this device". Right now, Google Play Music is just a better option for online streaming. It's the same price yet you can upload your entire music collection to the cloud and not have these weird errors pop up regarding Unavailable artists or music. Until Microsoft adds these features to compete with GPM and others, I can not recommend it as a viable alternative to iTunes or any other music service. It's just bad right now.
Make for iPad
I have the iPhone version on my iPad mini. Looks weird. Please make compatible. Also, when I click make available to download and listen offline, it won't work if the app is in the background. Like, if I try to download my songs (i have xbox music pass) it just isn't very efficient. Also, let me view as artists, not all listed out... I have 1000s is songs. Work on that... If you ever see this review. 3 stars is generous... I was gonna give you 2 had it not been for the fact that this is cheaper and more convenient than iTunes. Also... Let me shuffle! Please fix this. Thanks.
