Hopefully not the future of gaming
It's a boring hidden object game where you solve mysteries by finding objects that have absolutely no relevance. This wouldn't be so bad if the game wasn't trying to gouge money from the player at every opportunity.
You use up energy in order to enter each hidden object level. The idea is to find the items as quickly as possible so you can earn stars which allow you to examine evidence and talk to witnesses and suspects. So right there, you've got two forms of currency. You need energy to earn stars, and energy can be restored by waiting a long time, or, paying with red gems, the third form of currency.
Red gems are used to speed up analyses of evidence (some require a ridiculous waiting period rather than paying in stars), and of course, these red gems cost your real, hard-earned dollars to acquire. Red gems cost a dollar for twenty of them, and bypassing five minutes of waiting costs a single gem. Sometimes waiting periods can be two hours, though, which means you'll need more than a dollar's worth of gems just to bypass one waiting period.
All in all, this is a lazy cash-grab that I will have no part of. If these kinds of terrible microtransactions are where gaming is headed, even just mobile gaming, then you can count me out.
One out of five stars.
This game is really cool!! It makes you feel like your an actual detective. Some of the cases you have to do are very crazy because they happen almost everyday . You be really surprised how cool this game is I had this game since for almost a month or two and i had solved like 8-9 mysteries already. If I were you I would download this game right now with all the cool features and characters. Not only that it helps you in a bored situation, let's say your on a train or bus or walking and gets tired of music here is one the top 2 games you should play. Not only you can challenge friends from Facebook and see who gets the best score with random people. But you get stars on how fast you find the objects and once you finish one investigation another comes fast as a blink. This all would come back to how great this game is for me and my children they love it and I don't mind playing it either. This is a really good game and I am suggesting you to download this game for fun.
Love and kisses
Fun but problematic
I'm really enjoying the game thus far, particularly the Ace Attorney shout outs in the second case (there are far too many to be a mere coincidence; Nick Rong the defence attorney as opposed to Phoenix "Nick" Wright, a perfectionist prosecutor, a medium named Fey (Faye in this case) who moonlights as a defence attorney assistant... Whose sister was Rong's mentor before she died... And that's just 17% in or so).
Irritatingly, it's possible to accidentally waste gems on hints or rushing the crime lab because it doesn't ask you to confirm you want to use them, making it impossible to proceed without shilling out money. Every time you complete a case, you should get gems out of it, rather than replenished energy. Also, 10 gems for a hint? Really? That's costly for less than thirty seconds of time. I say get rid of the gem system and put in really special bonus cases that cost money.
