Could easily be a 5 star game if not for IAP

I love the changes they made to the Cut the Rope generic formula in this version. The extra characters make a nice change of pace, similar to the spiders and bees in the Time Travel and other ones from this franchise. Unfortunately, they also added an IAP element to this game. Now kudos to Zeptolab for removing the forced IAP requirement for the bonus levels, and making them unlockable with medals instead. But major negative points for allowing the clovers to be obtainable only by spending cash, and for the broken lottery system that's supposed to award daily bonuses to use in-game (I've never seen a single one awarded), and major points off again for making the hard-earned iap bonuses non-cancelable and far too easy to accidentally hit at the bottom of the game. If you have to tap anywhere near that area, you're far more likely to accidentally trigger a precious IAP bonus than what you were actually aiming at doing. Fix these and it's a 5 star game. As it is, its a great fun experience that's ruined by forced IAP.

Reducing my rating by another star. While the game is fun, it's far, far to easy to hit that row of precious bonuses at the bottom in far too many of the levels. Since there's no way to cancel, you're forced to use one up whether you actually use it or not -- it's gone! This is simply a way to force IAP on the users and that's no good in my books! Zeptolab, please drop this requirement.

Worthy sequel… not as bad as my initial reaction

When I first picked up Cut the Rope 2, I was initially put off when I found that zones 2 and onwards had extra levels that had to be unlocked by grabbing a number of clovers found in the other levels of the game. Those clovers can only be gotten by using the balloon or “candy rain” power ups, and the game doesn’t come with enough starting out to get them all. The assumption was that you HAD to buy more via IAP if you wanted at the extra levels. As it turns out, there’s a “daily reward” feature that gives you more of one of the power ups each day, so no, we never HAD to buy more power ups, but rather be patient and wait a day at a time. ZeptoLab has since added the option to unlock them by earning medals for each level, which is also a reasonable alternative.

Now that I’m past my initial misgivings, I have to say that this has proved to be one GREAT sequel! I wasn’t sure I liked the different look/feel to it, but it has grown on me, as have the additional “characters” that are a part of the game. I’d rate it a 4 1/2 star if I could due to their bad communication of the clover thing, but it’s a 5-star game, absolutely.

Challenging and Fun!!

Just got this a couple days ago. Never even saw anything about it before but glad I came upon it. I love the new look and feel and added challenges. Apparently I was lucky enough that I didn't have to collect any clovers and I unlocked all the bonus levels. Just had to get all the medallions. The medallions are a nice feature I think! Something new they added to up the challenge a bit. Makes you feel rewarded for beating them because, while some challenges are quite easy, some, especially the score challenges, are extremely difficult. Makes me feel like I've done something awesome when I get them. As with the first, sure it's a dollar, but well worth it. Now that I've gotten all 3 stars on every level, we need more levels added! I love it!
