The Wells Fargo Mobile Merchant app turns your smartphone or tablet into a mini card processing terminal that can perform many of the same functions as a traditional point of sale terminal.
Wells Fargo Mobile Merchant supports all major cards and provides real time processing and reporting capabilities. Cards can be swiped or keyed and once the transaction is completed, receipts can be emailed or sent via text message. Wells Fargo Mobile Merchant also offers tips and tax functionality.

Before you can accept card payments with Wells Fargo Mobile Merchant, you’ll need to set up a payment processing account (if you don’t already have one).
We make opening a payment processing account practically effortless. Call 1-800-262-2893 Monday - Friday, between 7:00 and to 6:00 pm Pacific Time to get started.
Once you have a payment processing account, it’s easy to start accepting payments through your mobile device. Here’s what you’ll need:
1.Apple mobile device (iPhone or iPad) with data service plan (Internet access)
2.Payment processing account
3.Wells Fargo Mobile Merchant app
4.Optional card reader
You will now be ready to take payments from your customers anytime, anywhere. It’s that simple!

Needs work, a LOT of work
I just wrote a long involved review and it didn't post. Now, I'll just make it short and sweet.
Only 2 things save me from going back to Square register. The rates for WF Mobile Merchant are lower and the guaranteed next day deposit to my banking account.
The list of bad points is a long one, and all very important. This device makes me look unprofessional, unknowledgable and unorganized more often than not. AND it is responsible for me missing out on income a lot of times because the tips bar is so small that people miss it! Tips might not be important to whoever designed this app, but they are a major part of my income. There should be a separate screen for tips that appears BEFORE the signature screen.
Also, why can't I program discounts into this app????? Hasn't anyone in your design dept been to a store with a sale? Sales bring customers in...but fumbling around like an idiot because I have to figure out my discounts on a separate calculator and then enter everything in manually on WF merchant scares them off. Or at least makes me look like an amateur.
Last, I have to close out of the app and restart it often because for some reason it has a mind of its won. It will either give me an error message after jumping through all the hoops of running someone's card so I have to do it all over again OR it just won't even recognize that I am swiping a card at all. Yes, my device is plugged in all the way. I check that first, then have to close and restart so it will work properly.
Come on, Wells Fargo...get your stuff together! These changes need to be made pronto if you want this to be the logical choice for business owners. I am very disappointed and frequently frustrated by how little sense your app makes. Once I have a separate tip screen, can have built-in discount buttons and swipe with more confidence and fewer crashes, I'll come back and give a better review.
