Interesting, but rather bizarre story

I could have done without all the talking throughout the game… some of the story/concept would have been clear without it, and I very much DISLIKE the “you are nothing, you deserve to die” comments. It feels very immature, and brings down the overall quality of the experience. The art is beautiful, but the puzzles are generally rather simple (unless I’m just a genius, which is unlikely), but I do like how the color abilities have to be used in combinations to get through the obstacles. I like the underlying concept of appreciating the world and regretting its abuse/destruction, and I like that the “VOID” puzzles allow to save/fix that which was damaged/broken. It gives a sense of balance to what would have otherwise been an ungratifyingly negative perspective about our place in this world and our relationship to it. Also, with all the talking and constant instruction (and because the puzzles were all so simple), I thought the entire game was a huge tutorial prepping me for the really awesome/difficult challenges to come. I would definitely suggest REMOVING the instructions, so that discovery becomes a greater part of the experience. Let me figure out what the colors do, and how I can use them in various ways. Otherwise it feels like I’m being spoon fed everything, and that diminishes the fun. But I did play it all the way through, so that is a compliment.
