Customer Reviews

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible!

ZERO STARS! What was a barely adequate app is now utterly useless! Unable to sign in with my DirecTV credentials; whereas that worked with the previous app version. My review April 2016.

**updated review July 2016
ZERO STARS AGAIN! What's the deal with this app? Once again can't sign in with my log in info. The few times I can sign in, the streaming is awful even though I have 1 Gb/s service and easily stream 4K programs. If you close the app in order to answer a call or check email it resets and you have to enter log information yet again. This is by far the worst app I have ever used!!! Fix it ALREADY!!!

Nice design, but a step back in native ios features

This app is a missed opportunity for fox. While the streaming video is improved and the design is nice...its missing native iOS features like Picture-in-Picture and worse yet the video pauses when you enter into split screen or slide over on iPad. Even worse it doesn't yet support the new iPad Pro screen size and is still just blown up on the screen. Major fail for such a large network. These errors and lack of basic functionality essentially cripple this app. It truly is inexcusable. Fox you can do better than this.

AirPlay Much Better

This update much improved AirPlay. It is consistently stable and good quality from my phone. However not from my iPad, which will transfer the video but sometimes be frozen.

The constant authentication request seems to be resolved.

I don't have a lot of the issues others do. I'm connected on my WiFi on the 5Ghz band for both iOS devices and AppleTV. Don't see frequent buffering issues, if any during an entire baseball game.

I do think Fox is lagging behind competition with their app. No AppleTV app when all the other sports channels have one. (Thus AirPlaying.) Works well enough for now but the native app would seal the deal for me.
