• A number of bug fixes
Really solid. Best in class.
When iTap went under, we setup a few users with this and, within a month, another 60 converted. Simply put, this is the best RDP client out there AND it works with remote gateways.
Does it work with Windows 8.x Home? No. Why? You didn't pay for the Business or Pro version which allows RDP connectivity. Use Google Remote Desktop and suffer through that experience until you're ready to pony up the dough and play in the big leagues.
Does it work as well as using a laptop for RDP? No. Why? 31" monitors don't translate that well to 9.8" tablet displays and, well, there's a reason we have mice.
But for weekend or emergency remote access, it's great. Almost all the functionality of Windows is covered. It's good enough that our employees no longer check-out notebooks for business travel.
Good job, MS
Looks like they're serious about developing for other platforms because this is one excellent app. Others are charging $10 - $50 bucks for something not half as good as third app.
Everything works, the resolution is fantastic, and it's actually not bad to control. I've not gotten used to the touch mode but traditional mouse pointer mode is great. It pans the screen just the right amount so you always know where you are on the remote screen, and you can do very precise things. The keyboard is good too. Nice bonus is the zooming in and out ... Well done.
It's like using a windows tablet albeit not as fluid. When watching a movie, the audio and picture are offsync by just a tad. I hope that gets fixed in a future update. Was able to play heartstone using this remote play feature. Can't get resident evil 6 to work though. Not like I use this feature to play games anyway. Great for accessing files on your desktop and viewing web pages where you left off!
